Question Question on restaurant.com

OK So I have a question on how it works. I'm sure someone can answer it for me.
What I am wondering is how it works if I buy a restarant.com gift certificate. I see I can buy a $25 GC for $10. Does that mean I have $25 dollars to spend there or I am buying a $25 GC at a reastaurant to be named later?
If it means that I have a $25 GC to spend when I use it do you need to spend it all at once? And can you still use the discount codes, this would mean a double discount wouldn't it because you can buy the Restaurant.com GC with a code?
I have been very interested in trying the website out and with vacations coming up I'd like to get some GC's for places we are going and of couarse I'd like to get the best deal.
Thanks so much for the help.

You are buying a gift certificate that is worth $25 of product at the restaurant. Usually they have some stipulations for using them. Like your bill must be more than $35 (without alcohol) to use the $25 gift certificate. I live in a college town and so the ones I get will often say "not redeemable on game days". Things like that. You can find the restrictions on restaurant.com where you go to purchase them. It will say when they can and can't be used.

We use them quite a bit. It's especially nice when there is a coupon code out so you can get a $25 gift certificate for $2 or $3. I haven't seen a coupon code lately but usually when there is one there will be a post in Hot Deals.

HTH!

You have to look for restaurants in your area that are on restaurant.com. Each restaurant will have it's own coupon wording. Some will say something like $25 off a $35 purchase or something similar. Also watch for deals. Lots of times you can get these for $2 or $3 instead of $10. I haven't tried using one yet but I keep getting emails from bordersrewardsperks.com about it and have looked into it. There aren't any restaurants in my area on there.

I found a code TABLE for 60% off.
Someone suggested buying the restaurant.com gift card when the restaurant I want is out of stock that way if no code was available when that restaurant is in stock I'd still get the discount.
Thanks.
