Wow...just spoke to Prevacid...the lady there told me we would only get reimbursed actual out-of-pocket expense!!! Then I spoke to her manager, and after I explained the Ups+ and ECB's (or store dollars) as he called them, he couldnt give me an answer. He understands that the sotre dollars arent free. He said he will contact the Rebate administrator and contact me back either later today or Monday/Tuesday.

I asked well if I purchased a 10.00 gift card and used that to pay for it, would I then get that money back and they said yes, so I kindly asked how they would determine what was used to pay for what? And his answer was that they couldnt. So I told him I would just cut off the bottom of the reciept, (LOL), so they couldnt see what I payed...and he said that would be best.

I will post the outcome of the call back!

I would suggest everyone call Prevacid 1-800-452-0051 to express their concers over their marketing of this Rebate. As it says in the rebate, "Actual rebate amount will equal purchase price less $4.00 off coupon, up to 18.00, not including tax".

I will stay on top of this for everyone...Im concerned cuz I only paid .03 cents at Rite Aid for mine (out-of-pocket, cuz I used UPS+).

I rarely do MIRs, and this being one of the reasons! I never know for sure if they'll give me any trouble if I pay with "store dollars"!

For some stores (cvs for one) their receipts only show the purchase dates towards the end, so you can't even cut out the payment part. But, if they accept photocopied receipt, then you can fold up that part before you copy it? or if the receipt is on thermo type of paper, you can put a scotch tape on the payment part and it will fade away? or use sharpie to cross out the payment part? just some ideas.... Gift/rebate receipts won't work all the time, because they don't show the purchase price, duh...

I just remember that I have an MIR that I don't know how to deal with: some time ago, I bought 2 pairs of Futuro hosiery that came with a MIR, but for some reason, my cvs receipt only listed them as Taxable items 10.xx ! I had a health 4/20 and used some futuro crts and MQs, plus got a $5 EB, so I didn't buy them for the MIR, it was just a bonus thing if it works..... just don't know if I should even bother with it....

i paid .08 oop because i used ecb's but that is wrong if they only give me back that amount. ecb's has nothing to do with the mfr. that is a store coupon. that is not specified on the rebate, therefore that would be fraud on their part.

i use a black marker to black out all of my other purchases, coupons used & actual price paid, i then circle the item for the mir & the date - have not had an issue yet, picked up this tip from a fellow afcer

I called them a while ago, before I spent store money on it, and I was told that it doesn't matter how it was paid for, I would get the purchase price minus the $4 coupon. I explained over and over again that I wanted to use store money which comes off the total as a coupon but has nothing to do with the actual product that I'm buying and over and over again I was told that it didn't matter how I paid I would get the purchase price minus the $4 coupon. I paid less than $1 for the 2 boxes that I bought (sending in a rebate for me and my grandma). I'm going to be so mad if I don't get the full amount. I would've never spent my +ups on pervacid if it wasn't going to be free...

Still no call back from them yet...if I dont hear anything back tomorrow, I will call them on Wednesday. If they still cant give me an answer and even if they do give me a good answer, Im still gonna go over my reciept with a permanent marker......I'll fix them

Wow! Update on the Prevacid rebate is as follows...(they never called me, so I had to call them). The rebate clearing house said that they will only refund the OUT-OF-POCKET! The number to call is 1-800-452-0051, as for supervisor David Deeter, (as I was just told that he was told by the clearing house to pass along the only money paid back is out-of pocket total!)

The lady, Beth, said that it doesnt say anything on the rebate form about this, but there is nothing they can do. It has been re-escalated back to the Clearing House and they said they would contact me back with-in 24 hours. I would suggest that if anyone has concerns about this issue to please call, as they said the more concerns/complaints they get, the more likely we can change how they will handle this.

Please post ant talks u have with them and be specific about who u talk with...TIA

I hope they get it figured out. How did you know, how did they contact you? Did you just call them? I did it 3 timeds, using my Walgreens/Rite aid UPs/RR. It is obvious that you can't use more than one MQ on the item, it is absurd if they don't honor the full price minus the 4.00!

I heard there might b a problem...and I already did it at rite aid and only paid .03 cents...so I called and asked about it last week...noone contacted me backso I called again today. Im just gonna black out my reciept...either way...that is sorta messed up...o well...

i just called on mine and they said the right amount. on the receipt I noted that the Walgreens RR were Wags cash...I am getting my 15.99 for Walgreens....Not a MM, but it was a good way to use my RR.

Sorry, I didn't get a name. I just asked if they had processed my rebate and that I wanted to know how much it was coming for since I had heard folks were having issues....she told me the amount and it was correct. But, when I called I got right in and spoke to a real live person...

yeah...all calls goto their call center, but they give their name as soon as u call, but they dont have the rebate info as they r only a cll center...ur dialing the number I posted???

Yes, I dialed the number that was above. The lady put me on hold and then went to check, came back and told me the amount (it was the same as I was expecting).

I called also spoke to a Michael he went to check .Came back said the amount I expected and it would be 2 more weeks .I had sent mine in back in September

Same thing happened to me. I used CVS extrabucks and got back my small oop. The rep "explained" to me that the "purchase price" was defined as the amount paid after coupons. I told her that didn't make sense based on what was stated on the rebate form, "purchase price less $4 coupon." She was a "supervisor" and claimed there was no one above her. She told me that the rebates are processed by a third party and she gave me an address and fax number of the processor to dispute (below). She had no decision making authority.

I am filing a complaint with the FTC. Someone else said we should file with state attorney general. That may be a good option, but a lawsuit would only be filed by a state AG when pattern of fraud is detected in the state. If everyone complains to FTC , then it has a better chance of getting attention because the complaints are not dispersed over several states.

I havent gotten my check...been waiting forever. They originally told me I would only get my .03 cents back out-of-pocket. But last time I called they said I was approved for the right amount of 15.79...hth...Im gonna call again tomorrow.

I got mine last Friday...for $2. I am so not happy! I dont see a number on the form to call and a google search didnt give me any info. Is there contact information beyond the mailing address on the rebate?
