My library still didn't have a copy available so I broke down and bought "Twilight" in paperback at Dillons (Kroger) on Thursday. I finished it this morning. I thought it was pretty good. Obviously intended for teenagers of course but still, entertaining.

My DH asked me if I was going to read the others. I said "only if the library has them available". But I couldn't get it out of my head. So I ran down to Borders this afternoon and bought "New Moon." I'm reserving the next one right now at my library so it's available.

I have read all of them, and loved them. I agree that the 4th book was a bit off from the rest of the series, it was still good, but the writing was different along with the twists.
my 11 & 13 year old daughters also read and loved the series. We went to the midnight release party of Breaking Dawn, and Taylor Lautner (who is Playing Jacob Black in the movie) was there signing autographs and posing for pics. It was a "surprise visit" from him, as he happened to be in town visiting family

Thanks!

I had stumbled upon a table display of these books back in July at my SWM. I read the inside cover of a few of the saga series before realizing it actually was a series and meant to be read in order. Of course there were nearly nothing left of them on this table and not ONE of the first one, Twilight to be found in the store. I came home, searched Walmart.com and realized that there was an exclusive box set being released in Oct. My mom had "owed" me a birthday gift as she puts it and asked if I would like her to pre-order the set,,,I jumped up and said YES!! Soooo, When the set arrived last Month, I was anxious to start reading, but LIFE got in my way and I suddently found my 15yr old daughter (book NUT) with it in her hand...two days later, I asked if she could wait til I had a chance to read it first and she claimed, "Thats ok mom, I've finished it"....WHAT? Over 600pgs in 2 days!!! Now I really wanted to read it, wondering what had driven her to keep reading like that. By the end of that week, she was on book 3. Needless to say, she has finished ALL the books and I had pre-ordered our tickets for the Movie Premier last night and OMG...It was FABULOUS!!!

Now I'm not the type of person to talk during a Movie, I actually despise people who do, but I found myself at several points whispering to DD "that didn't happen in the book" and so on...hehe. I was however, shocked at the wide age range of the audience. I kept thinking, "all these little kids couldn't possibly have read the book, nor would they really understand most of the dialogue"...haha. But there sat kids of 7,8,9,10yrs old and with T-Shirts on as well...hmmm and to think that I had my ex-hubby take my 7 & 10yr old overnight so that we could see the movie at midnight...

Ok, enough babble from me...for now....LOL

I am reading this series as we speak. A friend mentioned that I should read it and I just put it in the back up my head and then Kroger had Twilight for $4.80 so I thought hmmm why not! so I bought and and made it through it in about 2 nights. Then I had to run out and buy New Moon, again it took maybe two nights. I couldn't find three but where I started working a co-worker also has read the series and has them so she has loaned me 3 and 4 I finished the 3rd in two nights and now will probably make it through the 4th this weekend! I love them!

I want to watch the movie as well, but I have to find someone to go with me as I don't know that I want to take my DS with me!

One of the nurses at my doctor's office is reading it. She saw me reading Dead Until Dark by Charlaine Harris (TRUE BLOOD HBO series) and said that younger kids like the Twlight whereas older adults go for Harris's. She said it was very good. Did any one see the Movie as yet?

My DH bought the me the first 2 for my bday and gave them to me on the 16.. took me a week to finish both. Then for Christmas he gave me the last two and read Eclipse in a little more than 1 day. I just couldn't put it down. I started reading Breaking Dawn earlier but I'm stalling.. I don't want to finish it already. I wish she would go ahead and write the 5th.. I really like the books.
