| Any True Crime readers?
That is my favorite genre to read... and I have read most of them out there. My favorite is Ann Rule and Joe McGinnis (sp). There are some other great authors out there as well. Just looking for someone to chit chat about newer true crime books out there. I don't buy books any longer just get them from my library so it's hard for me to tell what's new some times. ( I mean the ones that just come out and the library doesn't have them yet.) When I get sick of true crime I usually got to fiction, back and forth between the two. Also love biographies! |

I have read all of Ann Rules books like them until they get into all the techinial stuff I haven't read anyone else that writes true crime. I usually look in magazines for new books that are coming out then I go to the library and put my name on the list unless I really want to read it now

I like true crime too. I have read Ann Rule and love her. I stopped reading true crime several months ago b/c I read one about 2 girls and it just really disturbed me. I think the author was just way too indepth. I really like the way Ann Rule writes though. |

I used to read a lot of true crime books. Jerry Bledsoe is a favorite - mostly because he's a local author to me and wrote Bitter Blood (the main character being from my town! eek!). I have been looking all over for Damien Echol's books, but looks like if I want to read them, I will have to buy them - can't find on paperbackswap.com or my library. He was one of the "West Memphis Three". I heard/saw his wife on some program earlier this year and it just fascinated me! |

You all inspired me! I went to the library today and got "Final Analysis" by Catherine Crier, "Never Enough" by Joe McGinnis, and "Lucky" by Alice Sebold. Now if I can just log off AFC long enough to read them! |

I love true crime! I have about 20 in my personal library. Without looking at my list of books I dont know what ones I have or by whom. These books just hook me and drag me in. Some of them just make my mouth drop at how these people get away with it for so long. Theres one Oh i'll have to go dig it out, it floored me, the lady killed like 7 people (including her parents) and no one caught on, it was finally her sister who alerted the police after she had heard her sisters boyfriend was dead! This had gone on for years like 20+yrs. Totally shocks me. I love the books and cant get enough of them . Heather |

I love these too... Serial killers are interesting! I don't know who wrote these, but I like them The BTK Killer If I am ever missing or found dead The 2nd one is a little confusing as you read it, but it is good. Or at least, was a little confusing to me. |

I'm always looking for a new author. I like Christian authors because then I don't have to deal with curse words and sex throughout. So you might try Terri Blackstoke. Great books. Not alot of crime but exciting stuff. I am now reading Tess Gerritsen, medical crimes and Robin Cook, also medical crimes. Both are doctors. Loved Mary Higgens Clark but have read all her stuff. Give her a try if you haven't. If you haven't read John Grisham you might like him. Lawyer stories. The library should have all these authors. I get mine there. Happy reading! |

I love Ann Rule. I read a lot of her books but I can't remember the titles right now. I love the way she writes. I went through a whole true crime phase, but nowadays I usually read whatever I'm in the mood for.
