DH and the kiddos and I were walking through the library last week and I walked past this book. I picked it up without even really looking very closely at it and checked it out. I just finished it and actually liked it pretty well.

It's about a woman who is a Broadway star. Her twin sister calls and begs her to come to their house in Minnesota and babysit her 13 year old nephew who has Down's Syndrome.

It was definitely a quick read and pretty enjoyable!

Ohhhh wow! THat sounds good. I knew her name looked familiar for some reason! I bought a copy of Patty Janes House of Curl a few months ago at the thrift store for a quarter and sooo enjoyed it! That is a good one to check out too if you liked her style!!

Oh and I've also read Oh my stars. good too

I just went and reserved those at my library to pick up tomorrow!

I found her books on amazon one day. Often I will browse books on there and make "wishlists" which I use to browse the library with Often one book will lead you to another one w/that thing at the bottom of each page that shows similar items, items bought by others that bought that book etc. Of course the small library near me doesn't have 75% of the books I wanna read from there

I do the same thing! I browse around and link to the "what other people bought" part. I have an on-going list saved on my computer.

Our library is pretty good although I've never looked for a book and found it available. I've had to reserve every single one I've wanted. But that's okay. I can do it all online and then they email me when it's available.

I'm working through a Billie Lett's book right now (Made in the USA). It's good but it's pretty dark. I'll post more about it when I finish it.

There are other libraries here that are bigger but the one closest to me is very small and not a lot to choose from. I remember waiting what seemed like forever to get all the Big STone Gap books together (I read pretty fast so I wanted to check them out together ) I love Amazon though its very useful for making lists
