| Have You Read "The Broker" by John Grisham
If so, what did you think of it? I just finished it and I was engaged the entire book. But I'm not sure what I think of it overall. Just curious if others have read it and enjoyed it? For those who haven't read it the synopsis is this: A man who was a powerful Washington DC lobbyist known as "The Broker" is given a last minute pardon by the out-going President of the US. His pardon has strings attached though. He's been in prison for 6 years in solitary confinement so to be released is a shock to his system and a complete change of lifestyle. Overall I'd give it 2.5 out of 5 stars. Like I said, it held my attention and I read it quickly. But it was definitely not the best of John Grisham's books. Linz  |

No, I missed that one. I've read most of his books. How about The Appeal. I found it fascinating.

Ha, I just read this thread. I read this, I'm obsessed with John Grisham books!! If you like his style, you should also check out some of Steve Berry's books. I honestly think A Time to Kill is his best, it's really moving.

I just started The Broker today. It portends to be a great read. I'm not surprised by anything Grisholm writes and many times he is right on target.

I read this book and most of his other books. I found it to be a good read I'd rate it about a 3. I like his some of his other books alot better but this wasnt bad. I just read the Appeal and where it was good, it wasnt one of his better books in my eyes. My favorite book of his was A time to kill and I loved the movie too. |

Yes I read it and I liked it though it was hard to follow. Once I got into it I liked it.

Grisham and Clancey are my favorites! I love the Rainbow Six series Clancey started some time back.

It was a bit hard to follow..... yes, and that is because hedge funds are a bit mysterious and in many cases illegal.
