Just wondering how many members have decided to grocery shop somewhere else since Ralph's introduced the new coupon policy.

I, for one, have made the switch to Von's. I hope their coupon policy stays the way it is.

We went to Ralph's for a few things that did not have/require coupons and got our new card, but for coupon shopping, I have switched to Vons Pavillions.

I also sent Ralph's a "comment" expressing my displeasure with their new policy earlier today.

Wow! You guys had a store that would double more than $1!! Nowhere around here will double more than $.50!

Back in the day they would double 3 like coupons and take expireds. They they stopped taking expireds, then they dropped it to doubling 1 like coupon and now they only double to a max value of $1. Next they will probably drop doubling at all.

At this point, even though they are my closest store, I will only be shopping them for non coupon items or sales. Even their supposed "new lower prices" are a crock IMO.

I'm with you guys, I use to just shop at Ralphs for their coupons, the truth taht was a great deal. the truth it was too far of a drive for me anywars, and I was always hasseled about buying same like items mulitple times and seperating orders.....

I'm going to try VONS !! although their sign says "DOUBLE COUPONS ARE BACK FOR A LIMITED TIME" .... it's closer anyways!! .

I switched to Von's also....cleaner store anyways, but farther for me....
I emailed Ralph's and told them where I"'l be...
Ironically, I just got the $5 GC I won through the DP game... so I used it to get papers last sunday so I can take my coupons to Vons....
The manager checked me out, and was all excited to tell me to switch my card over, I told her no thanks, I won't be back since you stopped doubling..... she looked taken aback!!!!
Then she said where do you shop, I said Von's , she said.. "where's that??" ... I"m not kidding she didn't even know there is a Von's 4 miles down the road....
The email I got from Ralph's was:... but for every xxx points you get a $5 reward... big woop... I use to save $40 in doubling every trip.....oh and you can get 50 points for bringing in 10 plastic bags to recycle each time you shop..........Maybe I'll just take my bags and get something like gum that'll be free or cheap with a coupon and collect those points to get my $5!!!
I have to drive past to go to Von's anyways !!!!

I'm in total agreement with you on that. Ralphs is quite literally on my doorstep, but I won't be shopping there unless it's a really good sale or, like you say, for non-Q items. And you're right about the "lower prices" ~ where? I think I must've missed them!!

Pavilions is 5 mins away, but they've definitely got my business if they keep doubling. Heck, even Albertson's, which is 10 mins away, may get some of my business with some of the good deals they sometimes have!

Me too! I used to love Ralph's especially when they sent me "special " coupons that I combined to save w/ my Entertainment coupons. Now, I haven't been there once. I've found other venues to satisfy my needs. Sure, I'll be in there this week for the $.99 chips, but nothing else.

I'm agree with all of you. I've been there once since the policy changed and that was only because I needed some fruit and milk and they are only 2 minutes away. Their new "card" is so dumb!! I saved much more than $5 each time I shopped with doubles. And I haven't seen any lower prices either. I really liked my Ralphs - it was new, really clean, nice employees, super close to me, etc. I almost feel bad for the employees working there now.

Here is the response I got from my complaint email that I sent a week ago:

Thank you for contacting Ralphs Grocery Co. We appreciate having customers like you who share your thoughts and opinions regarding our new coupon policy. We value your opinion and thank you for providing such feedback.
We know you have a choice in where you shop and appreciate that you have chosen to do so with Ralphs. Your comments have been forwarded to our Regional Office for further review and consideration.

Again, thank you again for taking the time to share your comments; we appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns. Please continue to contact us any time you have a question or comment.

I clearly stated I am taking my business to Pavillions, so I am not sure why they are thanking my for shopping with them LOL.

Hopefully if enough people complain they will change it back! I doubt it, but I can hope, right?!?!

I am no longer shopping there either. I only shopped there because of the double coupons with sale items, I would much rather shop at the Pavillions right by my house for everything now. I hope they continue with the double coupon policy at Vons/Pavillions or I will be very sad.

Actually, no. I'll hit Vons for a good sale, but I've still found Ralphs prices to be better. The majority of my coupons still double - and when I'm able to use my shortcuts / esaver coupons also, I still think I do better at Ralphs!

Maybe it's just my wishful thinking, but have you noticed that the Ralph parking lots seem to be somewhat barer with less shoppers/couponers going there???

I have not been since their policy change. I will going to Pavillions. I might consider stepping into Ralphs if there is a really good deal or something I can get free with a 50cent coupon which would be doubled.

I have stopped shopping at Ralphs since they changed there policy and hadn't been in there at all until last week, when I ran in to grab a non-q item that we needed right away. One of the key cashiers that knew me from all of my shopping I USED to do in there asked if I had their new card and I said no way, I am not doing my shopping here anymore...well.. did that start a fire... He started getting very hostile with me telling me that this card is so much better than coupons and I'd save SO much money and then he asked where I was shopping instead and I told him Target as their prices are SOOOO much cheaper. Then he tried to tell me they weren't and that Ralphs had the cheapest prices in town....ha ha!! I just smiled and walked away, it was quite apparent that they are loosing business...why would he give me such a hard time about not shopping there anymore. And the lower price thing is Bull, I've shopped there for years and they haven't lowered any prices since switching to this new program! It is just a gimic to make more money for their shareholders and penalize the customer and enough to get me to shop elsewhere....

I either have to go to a safeway that never doubles or ralphs that doubles some coupons...i would rather go to the one that doubles some and also the safeway it over a mile or 2 away while the ralphs is about 1/4 a mile or so. I have to walk so that makes even more the difference.
