Rainbow will take internet printed coupons (IP), with some exclusions:

1. They will not take IP coupons over $1.00.
2. They will not take any Free or BOGO Free coupons that are IP.
3. They will not accept expireds.

Rules for Doubling coupons (Wednesday's ONLY)

1. Customers must spend $25 in a single transaction to double manu Q's (goes by shelf price-not sale price for most)
2. Only Manu Q's with a face value of $1 and under can be doubled
3. A LIMIT OF 5 Manu Q's in total can be doubled
4. No cash back given
5. Does not apply to manu Q's that are not valid for doubling
6. Does not apply to alcohol / tobacco

Things to know when doubling coupons!
*A coupon will not be doubled above the regular price of the item. If the item is $1.59 with $1 coupon it will only double $.59. No overage will be given in this instance, otherwise overage is YMMV- most I find do.
*If you have more than 5 coupons in an order, be sure to give the cashier the 5 coupons you intend to be doubled first.
*You do not need a special coupon to double.

does Rainbow double every wednesday, all day?
Do you need a special store coupon to have them double? I've seen them in the weekly ads before so I was just wondering if you have to bring them in with you.
The $25 min purcase, is that before mfg coupons or after?

1. They are having it every Wed, all day for the summer
2. No special coupon needed. The one in the ad does look like it, but is not necessary
3. The $25 min purchase is Before manu. coupons - so if you use 5 $1 coupons that double, your total could be around $15
4. If you are using more than 5 coupons, make sure you hand them with your 5 highest coupons on top, because the 1st 5 coupons entered are the ones that get doubled.

Learned this one on a site last weekend so tried it at Rainbow yesterday (Wednesday ) and it works! I spent $10 and used 2 coupons for those items then bought a $15 gift card. All the stores exclude alcohol, tobacco etc but they usually don't exclude their gift cards. I was considered part of my purchase and qualified for the $25 limit and the coupons were doubled. Went back in and did the same thing. The third time I used 5 coupons and used the gift cards to pay for them and still had $9 left so 4th time I went back and used 5 more coupons and and picked up a few other things that I needed anyway. By making multiple trips and buying gift cards to make up the required purchases I got 14 coupons doubled for a savings of $23.40. Of course all but 2 of my items were on sale anyway so the savings was even greater

And don't forget, to get to the $25 minimum for doubles, the register takes account for the SHELF/RETAIL price of the item, not the sale price. If an item is on sale for $1 but the regular price is $2.99, the register reads the $2.99 price to get to the $25 requirement.

Does Rainbow double a BOGO free coupon?

For example, I have a Buy One Get One Free coupon and the product is $0.75. Will it double the $0.75? I assume it would, but wanted to check.

I don't think it would because the product is only .75 and it will not go over the price of product.

Is there a list of which stores go by the "shelf price." At my store, West St Paul, MN, I have never been able to ge the "shelf price." I have tried many times with different cashiers and using self check out? I can easily use the Midway store if they do the "shelf price."

I go by shelf price at all the Rainbow stores I have gone to. West St. Paul is the closest to me, IGH, Oakdale, Woodbury, Maplewood, Arden Hills.

hmmm,I don't know why I have such problems there? I have even been told by cashiers that I won't get doubles since I wasn't at $25. I even have them go ahead and still no doubles. Guess, I'll try again this week.
