So, what is everyone shopping for on Saturday? I plan on stocking up on the Barilla pasta. I ordered $1/2 coupons on the bay. I also picked up $1/2 for the Sargento shredded cheese. It's not a great ad but it has potential.

| Hi Mcbridra ![]() You are correct, this is a rather slow week for Rainbow. My scenario includes a rain check that I previously got for Glad Freeze-ware, so you wont be able to really duplicate my plan, but I thought I would post it anyway! Transaction using 10 Double Coupons Buy: (4) Glad Freeze-ware @ $2.25 each = $9.00 (4) Gillette Shaving Gel @ $2.00 each = $8.00 (1) Old Orchard Tart Juice = $2.49 (5) Package of Buddig @ .69¢ each = $3.45 (1) Apple Chex or Fiber One Nutty, General Mills cereal = $2.49 (only need one box, I got stocked up on cereal when Kellogg's ran their milk deal!) Coupons Used: (4) $1/1 Glad - Printable + PLUS (2) .25¢ off Glad Monopoly (4) $1/1 Gillette - P&G 7/1 (1) $1/1 Old Orchard - Printable (1) $1/1 Apple Chex / or Fiber Nutty - Printable (Whichever they have in stock) (1) Not Doubled = .75¢/4 Buddig - SS 4/22 Total Before Coupons = $25.43 Total After Double Coupons = $4.67 *Hope this helps someone! Feel free to share if you've got a scenario!

I wasn't thinking last week. I should have picked up a rain check on the freezerware. ![]() I did get 4 packs when they were on sale and started using them to freeze blueberries. I got rid of all of my plastic a couple of years ago but I admit, I like these. I would like to get more and freeze strawberries before they are gone for the season. |

Mcbridra-I didn't get a raincheck either and I should have. Every time that deal comes around they are out and I always forget rainchecks. DOH! Btw-does anyone know if the Barilla Microwave meals are on sale this week by any chance? They are not in the ad and i know they are regularly $2.99 and I have a $1/1 coupon that will double, so I was hoping that they would be on sale and therefore cheaper than $0.99

I hid 4 of the Gillette shave gels tonight when going in for the bacon for the 13 hour sale because I know whey will be wiped out tomorrow before I get there in the AM. It's so frustrating sometimes when they have double doubles and rainbow BARELY orders any stock for things that will go fast. Last double double days I went in for 7 different items and 10 coupons to double and I left with NOTHING!(then again the Rainbow I live by is horrible) I'm going to have to resort to hiding more often now which is really sad but I pass Rainbow on my way home anyway so it's not a huge inconvenience. |

I have the same problem here at my Rainbow. The best deals are always gone. Thank goodness for rain-checks!

I had 3 rainchecks as back up plans on the last "double double" and I still couldn't even find enough of what I wanted to double or from my back up rainchecks and so I left the store with nothing. I know "hiding items" is a frowned upon tactic by many but it's not like I am trying to shelf clear. When I hide items it's always going to be 5 or less of the same item that I know the store will not have by the time I get there. Last edited by Superpop; 07-14-2012 at 01:17 AM. |

No worries And true statement about rain-checks! There is nothing more frustrating than having an item you are waiting for to be restocked... never be restocked.

Hi Lisa Rainbow's ad only mentioned Gillette selected varieties so I wasn't sure if the Gillette Fusion was included in the sale. I have been hearing reports that it is not and have since taken it out of my scenario. I had completely forgotten to report back here about it! Sorry for the confusion, Hope that helps!

Thanks for the update.... My Rainbow is not a very good one at posting sale prices so I just wanted to make sure. Could have been a GREAT way to use those coupons as I love free shaving gel
