Favorite Rainbow?

Do you have a Rainbow that you love to shop at because they are coupon friendly? Do you have a Rainbow you HATE because they are ..."Not" coupon friendly? Is there a Rainbow that's completely over-run by shelf clearers?

I had a terrible experience today at the Rainbow in Lakeville. For starters: The cashier hand-keyed my $3.50 off any milk General Mills coupon down to $1.99 (the price of my milk) instead of scanning it and letting it take off the full $3.50 like they are supposed to. (I talked to her AND the CSM, and tried explaining that Rainbow will be reimbursed the full $3.50 and they are making a profit on items I bought, and the CSM was totally rude and walked away saying "sorry" while I was still trying to explain to her why they were not supposed to hand key. If general mills wanted to cover only $1.99 they would say the value was UP TO $3.50, which it doesn't, and it would prompt them to enter the value of the milk, which the General Mills coupon does not...Kellogg's does).

In another checkout lane, there was a cashier allowing a woman to do at minimum 6 transactions (that I counted...I think she had more) back to back! That is just RUDE when all the lanes are crowded. Ugh. Sorry for the rant but today was NOT a good couponing day!

So needless to say I am never shopping at the Lakeville Rainbow again!

Eh, Rainbow Foods is hit and miss. The only thing I can always count on is waiting in the checkout line for a minimum of 20 minutes.

Ain't that the truth! haha I would expand my shopping horizons to include cub (at least they are 24 hours!) but they don't double coupons at Cub. I did hear they were testing double coupons in Rochester to see how it went, so if they expand that to include my area, I will totally switch over!

I shop at the Richfield one and I have to say, I have never encountered any problems in the past year or so. They used to not accept any printable coupons, so I would go to that one (real close to my house) with my insert coupons, then go to Bloomington off of 494 and use my printables there. But they have changed their tune I like both Richfield and Bloomington.

I lived in bloomington until the end of May this year and I used to go to both of those (I preferred Richfield, because it seemed like there were less couponers there, or perhaps more respectful ones who did not clear shelves). The cashiers were fine, they did seem to overly scrutinize coupons which annoyed me initially but then I realized that not everyone is honest as you and I, so it was necessary.

I only shop there Saturday mornings and it is always the same cashier - a really nice older lady.
