Hubby for whatever reason voulunteered to run to PUBLIX tonight...

Lets cross our fingers he can get the deals right!

He is on a hunt for:

cakesters
cookie mix
nestle candy
keebler cookies (only if he finds the peelies)
kids vitamins

and has to do the math whether or not he can use a 5/XX coupon

Ughh lets hope he can follow directions (I told him you really shouldnt be spending very much money!)

OK, I have to stand up for all the men who aren't here to defend themselves. Some of us have enough intelligence to shop wisely and frugally. We're not all a bunch of dunderheads.

Your husband must be a smart guy, he married you. You must think he has some redeeming qualities or you wouldn't have married him. Also, you trusted him enough to let him go shopping.

OK, so how did he do? Did he follow instructions, get the things on the list, do the math and use the coupons properly? Or did he mess it all up?

He is a smart guy just has screwed things up in the past and I get pissed because he spent like a quarter of what I spend in a week on like 5 items!
(Like picking up the loaves of bread that aren't BOGO, claiming that he picked up the ones by the sign, the problem is that he didn't pay attentuon at the cash register, or to the receipt, he has learned quick though!)

last night I think he realized why it takes me so long when I go at night, and why I have to go to the store a couple times a week (the closest PUBLIX to us is always out of everything!)

He had to get rainchecks for 2 things (this was a first for him!)

and of course the had the kids vitamins I had been trying to get (but did not want him to end up getting them last night, because they didn't have enough of the items to use a $5/xx which would of made them free)

Yes, he was successful in the few things he managed to find!

4 boxes of cakesters and 2 bags of nestles for less than $3 (I didn't have the moneymaker coupons for the cakesters).

Sounds like you're getting him trained pretty well. It just goes to show that men are capable of learning.
