Sometimes I confuse myself when I think about something too long. The Toss 4 Cash book has a -$1/2 Duncan Hines cake mix q. Currently there is a BOGO sale on. If I pick up 4 cake mixes should I use 4 coupons or just 2? Or does it just depend on how much I want to save? |

This is the way my Publix will allow it: You can use 1 coupon per 2 items purchased, as it states "$1 off any 2 Duncan Hines products." Which means if you are purchasing a total of 4 items, you can use 2 coupons. However, since this is a store coupon, you can combine it with a manufacture's coupon for added savings. That is what I did - but I am sorry I do not remember where I got the manufacture's coupon. Hope this helps you! |

Thank you! That is how I did my purchase today but I remember my "couponing instructor" telling us to use a q on each BOGO item. She might have meant "when you use a mfg q" vs store q however.

You are right to use a Q for each item in a BOGO sale; however, when a Q states $1 off 2 items, then you can only use one Q. Believe me, I always use a Q for each item when I can! And I really like using 2 coupons per item when possible (one store Q and one MFQ)!! Happy Couponing! |

I finished a 3-part couponing workshop just a week ago. Those two girls save so much money for their families and had so much information to share. I will pm you their website.

I have a similiar question about coupon use but not on a BOGO. Lets say you were buying 3 cookies. You are using a man coupon for $1/3, can you also use another man coupon like a .25/1? I've had cashiers tell me conflicting info on this and just want to know what folks on here think?

But you could use a store coupon with it, yes? |

| Absolutely -- In fact, if your store coupon was a "per item" coupon (like $.25 off 1 coupon) you could use 3 of those in the example of the $1 off 3 manufacturer's coupon.
