Publix Flynn Crossing in Alpharetta had Chex Mix "Winter cocoa" flavor (choc. & marshmallows) for $1 per bag. With 50c/1 mfr coupons, I got four bags for free!

Last week I bought Organic Formula (it was marked to 7.50 then I used a publix coupon, and similac coupon).

This week I got more formula, as well as Dryer sheets that were marked down to like 3.75 (a big box)
Well then at the register they rang up as full price, so when I went to customer service I got 6.00 back instead=)

Last night at Publix they had a dozen boxes of Pediasure granola bars 2/2.89 or so. I had a q last week, but they had clearanced them at Target too and used it there. My dd LOVES these things!

I found the One-A-Day Women's vitamin water mix, discounted from $8 to $4---with my $3 coupon they were just under $1.

I was at the Villa Rica (Mirror Lake), Georgia Publix last night, and took some notes on Clearance items. This store is one of the more aggressive ones when it comes to pricing the clearance items -- they want it GONE, and they'll usually slap a BOGO on top of whatever sale price they're doing.

Clearance rack:
Spice Islands Paprika - $1.90 bottle (regularly $4.59)
Spice Islands Rosemary - $1.50 bottle (regularly $3.99)
* $1 off 2 coupons regularly in papers, plus SS blinkies
McCormick's Dalmation Sage - $1 bottle
McCormick's Ground Ginger - $1.50 bottle
* 75c off 1 McCormick's coupon last couple of weeks
Rubbermaid odor-fighting dish draining racks (translucent) - $3 (6.99
or something like that) - no coupon
Flex-A-Min - lots of it. $3 off 1 coupons galore
Everready battery charger that does multiple sizes AAA up through D's - $15
LOTS of the Sunbeam trash baggies for the behind-your-cabinet-door holders

These items are Clearance/discontinued but NOT on the special
clearance-rack yet. It's a matter of looking for the little orange
tags under the regular price tag.

off 2 coupon from 5/10 = 50c each!

Hershey's Special Dark Chocolate, Macadamia Nut - 49cents after BOGO and $1 off coupon

Benefiber Plus Calcium - $9.99 before BOGO - $2 off 1 = $3 each net
Old Spice Red Zone A/P Solid - "Mountain Rush" scent - 2.99 before BOGO

A lot of "Essentials" brands small hand-tools at BOGO. Not the
sturdiest top-of-line quality, but this would be a very inexpensive
way to get a couple of useful things for around the house. I found a
small pair of pliers to be $20 cheaper than special-order of a
replacement knob for my washer, for example

As prep for this month's green flyer, most stores in our area did a reset of their battery and flashlight section. I saw many charger sets and miscellaneous flashlights in the buggies.

Three fantastic deals were:

Ball extra-wide-mouth canning lids 12-pk, $2.49 BOGO for $1.25 each. This store had three or four *cartons* of those lids, probably 100+ boxes total. I don't recall ever seeing these below $2 before.

Duracell 4-slot AA/AAA NiMH battery chargers PLUS 4 AA batteries - 2/$13.99; plus $2/1 coupon from Thursday Neighbor inserts = 2 chargers + 8 rechargeable AAs for net of $9.99 ... (normally this brand's set of 4 AA rechargeables is $8.99). One charger will get put in a drawer until these AAs need a boost; the other goes on Freecycle.

Garrity LED flashlights - $5 each (regularly $9.99) - plus BOGO coupon from green flier = 2 for $5 (normally $19.98). A nice bonus is that these each came with 4 alkaline AAs. Not rechargeable, alas, but I'll put rechargeables (purchased in the same trip) in the Garritys and then the unused 8 alkaline AA's go into the Battery-Stash for later use.

Net was 8 rechargeables, 8 non-rechargeables, 2 LED flashlights and 2 battery chargers for $14.99 total -- and I actually had flashlights and rechargeable AAs on the BOLO list!

A different store we visited today had:

Johnson & Johnson "burn" bandage pads, $2.90 each. Stacked the $2/2 blinkie with the $3/2 from the green flier to get $5/2 ... two boxes for a net of 80 cents.

Several Nivea-for-Men products on BOGO.

bad publix.... BAD! How dare they put bags of Reese cups on the clearance rack! And only 9 bags! Well, at $1.50/bag and 8 human-reese-disposals at home.... beware little MaxZilla... YOU'RE NEXT!

Today I saw bottles of Lysol Neutra Air on clearance. I can't remember what the scent was but they were $1.80. Use the $1.50/1 coupons to make them .30 each!! I plan on getting 4 bottles tomorrow.

I found a Conair Infinity Ionic hair dryer for 13.99 tonight. The cashier was asking if there were any more. I got the last one (at my store anyway).

In my clearance section, I also found St.Ives Mineral Lotion I think like 15oz w/ pump...they were marked 3 for $6...so $2 each...I had a $1.50 expiring 7/31/09...so lotion for $.50!

Yesterday In Lebanon, TN In the Frozen food section they had 3 different kinds of kashi frozen Meals on clearance for $1.00 & 1.99 I remember one being Lemon Rosemary Chicken I racked up cause I had several of the $1.50 and $2.00 off kashi frozen meals

I haven't found much when I go to this store, usually on Monday. Is there a day that is better than another for clearance?

I was there yesterday and found several jars of Classico sun-dried tomato pesto clearanced. They were clearanced for $1.21 each. I bought 3 and there were 10+ left.

I found an awesome recipe w/ chicken, sun dried tomato pesto, pasta, spinach & goat cheese I can't wait to try!

My clearance area had Similac formula (powder, blue container) 2/$10.49 or it might have been 2/10.99. They weren't the big containers but still a good deal for a good size.
