I went to Publix to buy quite a few bayer aspirin (11). I had a MQ and PQ for each item. They said I could only get one due to wording on coupon itself. Limit one deal per coupon per customer. Was I wrong? Coupon policy states 1 coupon per item... Seems very contradictory. Corporate is no help. All they say is managers decision.

I really just want to know so I can plan accordingly. I hate going up to a register unprepared.

If the coupon said Limit one deal per coupon per customer then they were correct. You have to read what the coupon states and that would have indicated that the 11 deals you were attempting to do would not work. Now they cannot stop you from going out to the car & going back in and doing the same deal over & over until you got all 11. They limit things so that everyone has a chance to get a product at a discount not so it is limited to only one or two people who clear the shelves.

Almost every Publix Q states this, so I thought it might be a YMMV, because they do say 1 Publix q per item.

I specifically asked does this mean...
-1 deal, regardless of how many I purchase, or
-1 coupon for every deal purchase

I also mentioned that in the past I only used 1 coupon and told the cashier how many deals so I didn't have to cut up multiple flyers/booklets

first...this was referred to local store manager to answer...

reply from manager: When the coupon states one deal per coupon per customer it means you can purchase the item and use one coupon for that item in your transaction. You will need a coupon for each item you are purchasing.

The Publix Qs in the latest yellow flyer say...

Limit one deal per coupon

this coincides with the directive I received at my store...you can do more than one deal, but you must have a Publix Q for every deal

btw, my store ran out of the previous flyer before it expired...not a good sign for the future

This is great news - thanks for pointing this out! One Publix always gives me a hard time about PQs
