I had a problem with my regular Publix yesterday saying they woulndt adjust the q down, and cant take a q more than the amount of the product...So, today I went to another Publix where I stacked qs, a MQ & a competitor Q. It ended up beeping saying I used more qs than the items I bought. SO, a mgr had to come over and she said I am ONLY allowed to use 1 q per item...either a mq or a competitor BUT not both together...OK! This is really ticking me off...I cant find there coupon policy, I emailed corporate today. 1. Do they adjust down or is it per store per mgr? 2. Do they accept a Mq and a competitor OR a mq and a PQ? She made me feel like I was doing something I wasnt suppose to be doing...stacking qs.....Can someone please help...

Sorry that happened to you but sounds like you just had an off day which happens to us all from time to time. I also use a store Q + man Q on most items I purchase and while most of the time I have no problems, you will occassionally run into cashier/mgrs that just don't get it.

I try to avoid needing an override for the item vs coupon count since I found this is when I would encounter the most problems using coupons. I will count the items in my cart and compare that to the total number of coupons I'm using. If I have more coupons than items in my cart, I just grab some packs of kool aid or cheap produce.

I also am learning what cashiers/mgrs in my stores that are not coupon friendly and avoid them by getting in another line or just going to another store all together. I feel that we shouldn't have to do all this especially since we are doing nothing wrong, but some days I just don't have the patience or energy to fight for the right to coupon.

I have also found that putting the competitor q's first works better. In fact, I usually separate them out and say "here are all the comp. q's". They have to enter them by hand. And then the man q's scan fine.

PS I forgot to add that my publix does allow stacking. One competitor or target q AND one man q--They don't want it to exceed the price of the item, but since they manually enter comp q's, it doesn't seem to "look" the same to the register as the actual item. That's why I have them scanned first.

I live in Pinellas County I usually go to the Publix on Park Blvd in Pinellas Park. I always go to the young cashiers for they are trained to take the coupons etc. The older ones seem to want to look over everything. If I have any questions about my coupons I usually go up to the desk before I check out and hardly any problems. Try this store for I stack the store, competitor and manu coupons.

Usually up to management in each store is what I have found. Best bet is to go up to the front desk and ask ..

They should take store Q + man Q or Competitor Q + man Q as long as:
neither Q says not to combine with any other coupon
you are not using more than one coupons when the coupon says "limit print 1"

They would adjust the price of coupon when the coupon says "not to exceed the price blah blah."

From my experience, they did not even take publix Q and man Q together even when price did not exceed, it was just because I had many coupons.

I think the register is set to take only so many coupons, otherwise you need manager's override.

Been there, done that. Publix even keeps changing their coupon policy on me multiple times. Yes, off days happens to everyone. We shrug, talk about it here if you want, and move on. If you hang in there during hard time, good time with come to you.

The Publix policy is to accept one mfr q and one store or competitor q per item. There are *some* stores that will allow a 'triple play' by using a mfr q, store q, AND competitor q per item. This highly varies by store.

And you *always* have to have equal or more items than coupons, regardless of how the coupons were stacked. The Publix registers will only beep for 2 things: 1) more coupons than items or 2) over $50 in mfr q's (which simply needs a manager override)
