i recently made a trade and i feel like i got cheated i was the seller the buyers part was 4 ip but the those ips look like copies. I copied a ip so id be able to tell if it was real or not and it looks copied. the barcode is not straight like in the original i can barely see the yellow dots the pictures and words are not clear they look sort of blurry. I really dont want to use these but im mad because my part was worth more than these and not only that its qs i couldve really used for my Xak (my dog). is there another way to tell if these are copies? TIA

i would like to mail these to someone so they can tell me what they think

If you bought multiples of the same coupon, you can check that the pin or double barcodes are the same. Some people's printers are not as good as others, so that may be a factor. As a rule, I only trade IP's with people I know, for this reason as well as not wanting someone to copy IP's from my printer (unlikely, but traceable).

the way you described them, they look suspicious to me. I'd like to thank you for bringing this up so I don't feel sad about not trading for IPs.

It is both risky whether I am the sending or receiving end so I just stay away from them UNLESS I can print originals myself. I cannot guarantee what other parties will do with the original IPs I send them while the IPs they send me cannot be guaranteed to be originals UNLESS you really know the person. I've received really nice colored copies in the past and the only way I discovered they were copies was they had the same veri-fi codes I discovered it only when I was about to use them which was weeks after the trade. I had already left positive FB for the trader who sent me copies. it was my mistake since I didn't check soon as I got them so she got away with it. she is a veteran trader so I'm pretty sure she knows the rules on these IPs. It was a learning experience for me.

the ips looked very suspicious to me thats why i decided to ask its 4 qs but 2 of the same with the same code and none of them are original ive had bad trades that i let pass i refuse to give bad trader rating but in this case idk what to do

Wow, if they do have the same code I suggest you leave truthful feedback so others will know not to trade with this person. Now if they just look faint maybe they were printed in draft mode. I have 2 dif printers and print in fast draft with both & one prints darker than the other everytime.

I just got some ip huggies coupons from ebay. I wasn't told they were ip when I ordered them. They all have the same barcode. I contacted the seller and asked her if they were legit. She said that they were not copies, that they were printed individually from her printer. I'm afraid to use them though. I did use one tonight at Target, but it didn't scan. The cashier punched it in. The seller told me that I could send them back and get a refund. But, Idk??? What do you guys think? Didn't mean to steal your thread!!

I think that you need to report the seller. Ebay will check it out and do the right thing even if it is only educate the seller. Has then seller been selling for a while? I think it is only faur to your couponing community to leave honest feedback and say she offered to fix it but....thats the only way the rest of us will know to beware.....Even if you waited for ebay to resolve the issue before leaving feedback that might be a middle ground...I dont think people realize that is illegal and they should not be selling copies....

same thing happened to me recently. I threw them out. One can tell when they are copied. Same security code says it all. No bricks coupons have same code!

double check that u are checking the right barcode, the two on the bottom should be the same. The one on the top right should NEVER be the same. If it is then it is for sure a copy!
