Price Chopper has announced a major recall of certain meat items sold in their meat dept. The items may be contaminated with E. coli . If you have any of the recalled items, you can return them to the store for a refund.

Thanks for the info, I hadn't heard of this. Looks like the dates being recalled are from May. I usually rewrap meat and freeze in smaller portions so I wouldn't have the label for a refund, but fortunately, I don't see my store on the list.

There were only 2 stores in my area affected and a lot of people have already consumed the meat they purchased without any ill effects. Many people have said that if you cook the meat to the proper temperatures there shouldn't be an issue as the bacteria is killed. But if you still have the meat and can return it for refund / exchange that would be the better thing to do.
