| Unilever double dip
Ooooh. Did you all catch how we can double dip this week on Unilever products? If you got the rebate in the paper, you get a $20 rebate for a turkey or ham if you buy $40 of Unilever products (can be in multiple transactions). On top of that, if you buy all $40 in one transaction from Price Chopper, you will get a $20 ONYO. Now I just need to collect some more coupons to do my shopping!

What's your plan? Are you going to a PC that doubles? Was thinking of making the 45 minute trip for this one plus stock up on some other double things I need. I would take my husband so we could make 2 seperate transaction of doubles. I need to find out what else are unilever products. Thanks! |

Yeah, I totally will be taking advantage of this... plan to sit with my Q's and the flier this evening to plan my game... Question though - is it $40 before Q's? or After? I'm just curious for the mail in rebate, if they see OOP of just $28 or so - will they look closer at it and realize we used Q's for everything? |

The $40 is before coupons. It is not up to the cashier on whether or not to give it to you. The catalina machine spits out the ONYO based on the the price of the products you bought. Bummer for me about extra coupons. My husband always gets me extra fliers from work on Monday from papers that were unsold. Since we live in the Binghamton NY area, all the papers were bought up because of the Civic Center shootings, so no extra coupons for me. I'm not quite sure how I can pull off a good deal now! |

It says UP TO $20 rebate. So does that mean they only give you the price of the ham or turkey? Or is it $20 no matter what?

I read it as they'll send you the amount you paid for your meat - so might as well get the biggest one you can for $20 and make soup with leftovers if you don't eat it all for easter dinner!

I think I've formulated a plan and this trip will be worth a 45 minute trip to a PC that doubles coupons. My husband is going with me so we will each do the unilever deal. With our multiple coupons, we should get our $40 in products down to just a little over $20 each, then have $40 to spend on more groceries (I'm thinking stock up on meat). Plus we'll get $20 back for the free ham/turkey. Not sure which one I'm getting yet. I wonder if you buy a turkey breast, it counts? So it should cost us roughly around $45 for about $140 worth of groceries. I'm awful at math, did I figure that right? $40 worth of unilever x 2 = $80 in groceries $40 cat back from the 2 transactions = $40 worth of free groceries $20 back for a ham/turkey = $20 By George I think I've got it! I'm very excited for this trip! -Heather |

This is awesome! I don't think I'll be near a price chopper this week, though. I will be starting next Tuesday (after easter). Is the OYNO catalina only active this week???

We went today, each got a cart and bought our $40 worth of Unilever products. It came out a little higher than I intended due to the fact that I estimated how much the country crock sides were before I went and had a very specific list. We drove an hour to go to Granville and about 5 minutes before we got there the school called to say our son threw up at school. Needless to say we rushed in and finished our shopping in about 20 minutes and rushed home to pick him up. I had envelope 1 with it's list and coupons and envelope 2 with it's list and coupons. I didn't have time to calculate everything and substitute items so it ended up: order 1 = $32, get $20 back order 2 = $26 get $20 back I have not bought my ham or turkey yet. I plan to go to my local PC tomorrow to use my $20 ONYO's. They do not have a date listed on them as to when you can use them or when they expire. I'm wondering if I use one to buy the ham or turkey will it somehow show on the receipt and Unilever will not refund me the rebate? It doesn't really matter because I still need more groceries. If I get time tonight, I will write a list of what $58 with double coupons bought. Good Luck shopping! We were rushed but it was fun! Heather |

Okay, here's my list with prices (these are the advantedge prices for this week): Bertolli Dinners for 2 - $6.99 Knorr Sides - 99 cents Bertolli Sauces - $2.50 Skippy - $1.99 Dove Body Wash - $5.99 Axe Body Wash - $3.99 Hellman's Mayo - $2.48 Breyer's Ice Cream - $2.99 Country Crock sides -$5.69 (gasp!gasp!) Luckily I had a $1 q that doubled! Ragu Sauce - $2.99 (BIG jar) I did not get the Dove deodorant so I'm not sure of the price for that |

Prices are definitely regional... the differences here were: Breyer's Ice Cream: $2.48 and use a 75c Q that doubled Country Crock sides (mashed potatoes) $4.59 - I noticed the mac and cheese one was $5 something so I skipped that one. Sigmasal: Don't forget to buy TWO hams or turkeys since you did the deal twice! IT says one per address, but you could send one rebate check to your parents house - or even your neighbor if your parents aren't closeby. Oh, and my OYNO Q has a 4.25.09 exp date on it. ...and says can only be used one per transaction and can only be used on a grocery bill of $20+ after advantage savings and Q's are subtracted. |

Yes, I was thinking of doing it twice since I know my mom will probably not do it, or my father-in-law. A free ham and a free turkey would be sweet! I wish I had a PC that doubles closer to me. I'd like to do the deal again but I don't have enough coupons to make it worthwhile.

Just an FYI for those who are considering doing this more than once, the rebate form does state one use per address, so if you send in more than one there's a good chance the others won't come back. It's a great deal getting the $20 coupon back on the products from Pricechopper anyway, but be aware the check may not come in the mail. Thanks for the great deal! |

This is what I ended up purchasing: Ragu Sauce 2.99 x3 Hellmans Mayo 2.99 x3 Skippy 1.99 x2 Can't believe it's not butter 1.69 x2 Bertolli Sauce 2.50 x2 Breyer's 2.48 x2 Q-Tips 3.19 x2 (picked up the non-sale size by mistake) I had a handful of coupons, plus some double-dollar coupons from a competitor's store, which made the total OOP around $30. I'm very happy I managed to pull this deal off while shopping with a 3yr & 2 mo. old! |

In case some of you didn't notice, there were Unilever coupons in a general flyer awhile back (sorry, can't remember which). I can't believe it's not butter.....40 off any one (priced $1.69 this week). Wishbone dressings $1/2 and $1/1 bountifuls. Lipton tea .60/1 (bags, to go, etc.) My store was out of Skippy regular. I'm hoping to do the deal again tomorrow if they got more in today. |

Thanks so much Rapchef2. I did the deal 4 times. I never ended up getting the Lipton or the Country Crock sides. I did pretty good though. Thanks again for posting the prices.
