Is it worth it to travel to VT to go to a PC that doubles coupons? My sister and I are thinking of doing this? Anyone who shops there that could list some of the best deals there (wondering if their prices are more jacked up than my PC that does not double) or are our ads the same?

granville doubles and may be closer? i generally wait for the double any up tp $3 qs and do better at home- these qs also come more often for glens falls and queensbury stores...

I am in Saratoga as well... and about once every 1 - 2 months I will travel to Granville (its about 45 mins) and will do a HUGE shop. I usually spend about 200 - 250 for two carts full of grocery's. I think it would be worth the trip every once and a while. I don't think I would be willing to go that far to shop every week. I think some of the prices may be jacked up a little... but I find most things are still cheaper with the double coupon. I hope this helps!

I used to go a PC in VT when I lived in NH before we got one there. It was worth it for us. We drove about 45 min. TBS We always had to drive at least 1/2 hour, so it was not that much further.

Thanks. My sister and I were thinking it would just be a once in a while thing! We have been doing well at KMart super doubles when it comes around but they really jack their prices up!

I find PC very consistent. Plus, their fresh food is great quality. Actually, we met member's of the family (family owned) in our store in NH. The were still part of everyday things even into retirement age. I miss PC so. We have nothing close in MI.

I shop at Price Chopper in South Burlington Vermont. I love it. They double up to $1. I save an average of $60-$80 a week in coupons.

I'm actually thinking about it too, now that I'm back in CT, VT is only about 2 hrs 1 way - and my dad lives in White River Junction...so I could drop Samantha off with grandpa and go shopping LoL

My sister went Sunday and had a great trip. I'm thinking of going to Granville tomorrow to do the double dip with the Unilever buy $40/get $20 and use double coupons to make it even better. Then I'll submit for the free ham/turkey, depending on which I get. Anyone have a plan?

I love it when I get the chance to go shopping without the kids. It doesn't happen very often, but it's nice to be able to look around without one wanting to buy everything and one screaming to get out of the cart.

O...yes...shopping "a la no kids" is AWESOME!!! I totally agree! I could walk the aisles for HOURS "a la no kids"
