Nope! You know how they have the sticker with the price of your deli purchase on it? It is a two part sticker and one part tears off and is a coupon in some cases. Today Rich got a 75/1 Kraft mayo attached to his purchase. And....he was a good boy and gave it to me! Probably cause I ripped him a new one for telling me he didn't need anything and then he went shopping without coupons!!!!! argh!!!!!!! he paid full price for those jello cups with fruit in them. do you know how many of those are in that stankin' box I got????? babbling....sorry, it's late! |

Are you saying that those are the coupons that the deli printer will be spitting out now mfk? Martini got Oral B so you might want to add that to the list if you're looking at keeping a running list. That is awesome to know ahead of time what you might be getting. I see you're a new poster. Welcome to the board! |

| Deli Coupon Offers
I think they are listed under GUM (probably the parent company)...there can only be one "product category" per month, so the Oral B (which used to be a Gillette product before they were sold to P&G), would make sense To answer your question, YES, that is what is running now... I'm part of the team working on the concept, LOVE that you guys can give me your thoughts and help us make it work better for you! THANKS!!!!!!!! fyi, the offers change about every 4 weeks |

I don't usually buy Deli Meat at PC. So is this a cat you get? Or it prints out on the sticker that they put on with the price?

This is actually a neat idea. It will prompt people to buy Deli meat....it may have worked on me ![]() Is it random what you get or do you get the coupon depending on what you buy in the Deli? |

I don't usually buy deli meat at PC either. My local store has much better prices. I can't imagine paying 6.99 or close to that for a pound of meat! I would rather buy chicken breast at 1.99 and make my own chicken salad....mmmmmmmm! The q's will be good for those of you who buy deli meat already though! |

I'm sure it's a marketing strategy, as everytime I am in PC, there is rarely anyone at the Deli counter. Personally, I would rather see more tearpads thru out the store, and have more coupon mags mailed out to us. |

Just a ?..where do you buy your cold cuts?? Also, you get it regardless of what product you buy from the Deli, so it could be cheese, or salad...really, anything they need to weigh. |

I feel the same as GMW, I am not paying $6/$7 a pound for sandwich meat at PC. My little town local grocer has pretty good name brand deli meat/cheese sales. So tell us more, are you doing a survey for the company you work for about Price Chopper? How did you come up with this concept of coupons on weighed products? |

I am too cheap so buy meat at the deli- we do tuna, chix, pb&j, egg salad or OSCAR MEYER when its BOGO and with a q. I do buy deli cheese cause I dont like cheese food product. but even that when I buy deli cheese I shop at our local mom and pops deli

Doodle...not really a survey, just seeing how you like it and how we can make it better The idea is probably not that "genius", but just figuring out where consumers can get value. What coupons would you like to see most? |

I buy deli meat every week and I think this is a fabulous idea to give us more value for our shopping experience. I also appreciate the deli companies putting the tear pads at the point of choice (on top of the deli counter) for my use. In fact, that is how/why I got hooked on buying the Creta Farms deli products and Alpine Lace. DH takes a lunch every day, likes a wrap, and it is far cheaper to make and pack versus buying. How to make it better? Let people know about it up front as in asking Price Chopper to put a little thing on the deli page of the weekly ad saying "look for special money saving offers from participating companies on your fresh cut deli purchases". Many people don't know these are there. We are more than average consumers on these boards and look for these types of deals. Most people never glance twice at their package when they get it and are throwing these things away I would bet! It would also be awesome to keep a tie in with a deli purchase. Sure it's nice to get a toothbrush Q but it makes more sense to get the mayo, bread, relish, soup, something that goes with deli meat. Know what I mean (KWIM)???? Or I would even suggest a promotion where periodically, the coupon comes out....."your purchase of this product is free today". Not often.....maybe every couple hundred spit out one extra special coupon like that if you want to start chatter! We couponers love free! ![]() And thank you for identifying yourself as a marketing/promo person. It's nice to know who we're talking to. This group in particular on the PC board is a pretty special bunch and we are more than happy to talk with and share our points of view and wishes! So again, welcome aboard! |

IF I buy deli meat(rarely) I will get it on sale at my little local store, RJ's Friendly Market. They have some delicious Canadian maple ham that used to be 3.99, and I would buy it at that price, but it is now up to 5.49. I actually do the mojority of my grocery shopping there. Their regular prices are much lower, they double $1 q's just like PC, and they run some good sales. Like chicken breast was 1.49/lb, potatoes 2.99 for 10 lbs, and GM cereal was 2/$3 a couple weeks ago. But I do love the Oscar Mayer deli shaved mesquite turkey. mmmmmmm. I buy it for myself occasionally as a treat. I actually just finished off a pack today! I get cheese from DD's WIC, cheddar and American, so I don't buy deli cheese often either, unless it is a great sale on provolone(like last week at my store, 1.99/lb!) Now I'm just rambling..... Thanks for taking the time to pop in here!! Maybe I will check out the salads. I love deli-made coleslaw. |

Hey ramblin' is what we're second best at! (couponing is first!) It's interesting how the smaller stores are better able to provide good buys like that isn't it? I know our Mom/Pop market down the street always has better deli prices too but when I use the Qs at Price Chopper it makes it easier and more affordable to just get it there. |

I agree with this. I am not saying I would NEVER buy Deli meat at price chopper....just seems like I find it at my local grocery store $1/+ cheaper and I have to go there anyway, because my DH will only drink Byrne Dairy Milk |
