Also, you get it regardless of what product you buy from the Deli, so it could be cheese, or salad...really, anything they need to weigh.
I buy coldcuts at Price Chopper usually. It is more convenient and less hassle to get it all in one trip but IF the prices are too high or I don't have a coupon, I'll go out of my way and stop at Sam's Club on my way home from work and grab it there. There really is NO rationale for luncheon meat to cost so much more. It drives me crazy!

I do not buy salads and rarely buy the cheese from the deli. We go through cheese like crazy here so I buy the blocks of Cabot from the cheese case.

See! You have to tell people to look for the difference or at least point it out! They won't catch a subtle difference and then feel duped for not paying close enough attention. Even a sign or rep at the deli counter for a week (to cover all shoppers cycles) to promote that this a new thing we're doing makes a huge difference.

I can remember feeling very taken advantage of by a "hotel loyalty program" because they didn't advise members that there was a special promo going on that you had to ask for in order to earn credits. I felt so insulted that after all my business they would make it that difficult to be informed and participate. People respect companies that are honest and up front about stuff.

I buy the Cabot 1/2 blocks in the dairy case. We're baaaaad with cheese. We'll wipe out a brick with crackers watching tv!

I don't see why you couldn't buy a whole block if you wanted. We actually have a place here locally where you can buy the whole turkey, bologna, ham, cheese, whatever for a reduced price. Ask at your deli. I bet they'd give you a break on the price.

~chuckles~ thought the coupons on deli meat were a great idea especially the one I got for Ziplock. There was one more but I can't remember what it was. I usually just get the Am. Cheese for WIC checks. Occasionally deli meat but just a certain number of slices vs a certain weight or hot dogs. Thought the product advertising on the remaining stickers was wasteful.
