| Price Chopper and Expired?
Does price chopper typically except expired qs? I was able to use the dole fuit cup ones that expired on 10/31, the kid didn't even bat an eye, but wanted to know if this was typical?

Not that I know of. I accidently had an expired Q in my pile of 70 coupons, and it expired the day before I went, it was an honest mistake and the girl about crucified me over it!

My Price Choppers (central NY) wont take the expired...Like Doodlebug..accidently let one get in there...goodness would have thought I was 2 yrs old the way they talked to me

Nope..... the chop does not take expired Q's!!! It is posted somewhere on their website..... but I can't seem to find it!

Thanks for the replies! Well I kinda put them in there, but the kid didn't even look at them. It's good to know thought, so I don't walk up with a ton of exp. qs and get yelled at! I can't believe they would repromand you over and exp q! What ever happed to customer service! They could have simply stated, sorry we can't take expired q's.

I was actually hoping to go the day that q expired so I could use it, well chit happens, I didn't get to go till the next day, when you have 70+ coupons it was about the last thing I remembered. It is very embarassing but I always try to learn from my mistakes (and/or theirs) and now whenever I go get groceries, I go thru each coupon before I leave just to make sure, because I will not let that ever happen to me again! |

Price Chopper would become Howard's Price Chopper or Head Chopper in a heartbeat. I am beginning to get quite annoyed on how these companies, can just have their employees attack or verbally abuse their customers, and then expect the customer to stand there and take the abuse or even come back to their store to shop. Then when you complain to their so called corporate office, it will take at least a week, before you get any type of feedback. The reason for the delay, is to get their LOUSY LIES together and make you look like the bad guy/lady. |

My store in particular has been getting better about the way the employees treat the customers, I have not had one issue since I complained. It all depends on who checks you out, either you get that person who LOVES to see you use coupons OR you get the person that hates you instantly because you are making them do THEIR job! I really felt bad after having the few incidents I had but now I have gotten the I don't care attitude, get the manager, get the OWNER for all I care! I am there to buy their products and SAVE even more than what their advantage card allows. If they don't want to take coupons then that should be their policy...but it's not. I follow their policy to the total intent of how they have it wrote out. I haven't done anything wrong, they just have employees that don't like to be bothered to do their jobs.Like I said, they have gotten tons better seeing I wasn't the only one complaining, but I still keep mental notes who is a good cashier and which ones I prefer to skip over. My trip yesterday was marvelous....the cashier was like WOW! and it's those employees that make me go back.

I have to say, my price chopper has pretty good customer service. They never give me a hard time. I have been to one store particular (not price chopper) give me a hard time about my coupons, they same girl 3x's gave me a hard time. She was trying to tell me that I could on use 1 coupon per customer, when the coupon clearly read one coupon per purchase! The first time I was like ok, I don't want to argue, the second time I argued a little but the line was too long. The third we had it out, she said oops only one per customer. I pointed out that it said one per purchase, not per transaction or per customer. Sorry, no you can not use more than one, I stated that the policy clearly says I can, her reply I'm the store mgr. and I said one per customer. oh really, let's see what corp has to say about that! I would never report anyone, but she was a total jerk. Sorry for my rant, but I hate to be treated like an idiot, when it is clearly written out in their coupon policy, and they act like we are trying to steal something from their store.
