That was pretty cool. I can't believe that the German family spends the most. $500 a week? Are they using gold flakes are a garnish? Very interesting though.

I would think the German family was spending more due to all that beer!

I am part german and I know when the family gets together there is always beer to be had.

That was interesting. Admittedly though, I got very distracted by the fact that anyone could have pig's knuckles or mutton and okra listed as favorite foods.

Thanks for sharing that. It was very interesting! I can't believe the ones that are $1.xx or $5.xx something a week. But then the Germans at the other extreme with $500.xx! Wowza!

wow, makes you think about what we eat, some families eat way more fruit and veggies than others. also you can see what you can live off. some familes had very little.

That was really interesting. In Germany water and soda (no refills) is more expensive then beer!

food isn't so cheap in Europe that can be easily spent ESP when you buy meats!!!! milk is similar to here. fruits and veggies are a little higher as well as most other things. Meat don't get me started..a couple of 'family' pack of around 8 chicken breasts can cost from 8-10 Euro so around 10-12 dollars for just the chicken. Hamburger mixed with pork on sale can be about 3 Euros a Kilo which is for 2.2 lbs. so 4 dollars and something for 2 lbs of Hamb/pork mix. the "real" Hamburger is around 4.99-6.99 depending on the store.

I try to take a lot of our favs 'home' with me ya know JIF peanut butter, Hamburger helpers,cake mixes frostings special crackers or cookies that we like. Its hard but it makes life more fun.
