This is an old topic but I wanted to tell you that unless you're prepared to make sure your cat has the needed nutrients, vitamins, and minerals you should probably stick with a high quality commercial food. Cats require taurine for example and it is not present in cooked protein. It has to be added after it is cooked.

Raw diet is the best you can feed your cats . But you need to take some time and read up on it . Cause you will need the right balance of ingredients, including vitamins and minerals, and properly storing the food. To do it right it can be costly .But it is way to go if your really want to control what your cats are eating.

But I did not go the raw diet way with my cats .Cause I don't got the room to store it and handling raw meat is just not my thing . I when with a grain free diet with my cats . Best thing I can tell you is do a ton of reading and go from there.

ty for your advice. I have done some adding to their canned food. My one cat will not eat moist. And one of my cats teeth needs moist. I have added Rice to their food. My one cat that does not eat moist, loves Rice. She also wants milk. But one, cows milk is not good for them. She will throw it up. But she will about steal it from you. I tried kitten supplement. She said no. We tried soy and rice milk. She just wants cows milk. So too bad kitty. no milk for you.

Cats really don't need rice. Cats are obligate carnivores. Carbohydrates are bad for them.

Their food is probably already packed full of carbs, to be honest.

Look for something called CatSure. It's milk-like drink that's safe for adult cats. Don't give too much though.
