i was at the store yesterday and talking to a lady who wants to buy 1 of our pups,and she told me she seen a ad in the paper for dorkie pups im like dorkie yep she says mix between yorkie and dashund,i looked them up thier so cute,a dorkie go figure

I haven't heard of that one but we got a shorkie about 6 months ago and he is the cutest most playful dog that we have every had!! He is a sh!tzu/yorkie..

We've had a few dorkies in our family and they are great! So cute and sweet - very good "watch" dogs and kid-friendly. One recently passed away, and not from old age, she somehow got out of the yard and into the highway, and she was 17 years old. Another is still kicking and he's 18 now.

Very cute. There was a man near my home selling labordoodles, looked like a golden retriever with a perm. I had never heard of that breed.

not to weird you out, but one of the "side affects" on these cross breeds is that if they get too "stressed" their eyes pop out of the socket. I'm so not trying to make a joke here. My sister has one, and her and the beagle got in a fight and the beagle grabbed her and her eye popped out. I think I would have died but my sister grabbed her and took her to the vet and they popped it back in and had to partially stitch the eye closed but open enough for my sister to add drops. There was a risk that it would heal and they would have to permanently stitch the eye, but it did heal and she's back to normal. But the vet said that it is very common in these cross breeds. Hope I didnt gross anyone out.

Its actually very common in any of the smushed nose breeds, pure or not. When they have been bred to have such tiny skulls, their eyes no longer sit inside the skull fully. We see it frequently, along with all types of other eye issues.
