Best dog food to stockpile??

This spring we plan to get a Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy from a local breeder. I would like to start stockpiling puppy food and dog food in anticipation of her arrival. So my questions are:

What dog food brand do you recommend? Who usually has good coupons? What dog food is the best value for the money?

As with everything else I want to save as much as possible but in the land of dog food I have no clue. So please educate me

you will want to get at least one bag of the food the puppy will be on when you take it home (what it's been eating at the breader's) so that you can slowly switch foods to guard against digestive upset(ie. diarrhea). you will probably want a food that is especially formulated for large breed puppies unless your vet stipulates otherwise.

Chicken soup for the dog lover's soul is a great value for the money. it is relatively affordable and high quality -- and they have dry formulas which you can easily stock up on! They have a dealer locator on their website too which can help you figure out where to buy it.

nutro max for large breed puppies it isnt cheap you can get coupons sent from their website some pet food stores also offer buy 10 bags get 1 free. my saint doesnt eat as much of it as compared to benniful she was eating quite a bit more. the nutrients stay in her and she doesnt eat or poo as often as she did on benniful. her vet recommended it. target and other stores do not sell it! pet supplies plus does carry it.

Raised a female Lab to 90lbs on Purina puppy chow. Fed my Dobe on that too, but she was almost a year old when I got her. Grew to 85lbs. I know these are large breeds anyway, but these girls were bigger than some boys!

Thank you so much everyone! I figure I want to get as prepared as possible. Being a large breed she will definitely be a good eater! I'd hate to randomly pick a brand and then pay atrocious prices. I figured everyone here would have the best advise!!!
