Hey couponers! I just moved back to brooklyn after living on long island for 10 years. I remember a poster saying they dont double coupons in the boroughs and I asked the cashier and she said 'Only on certain days'. Do they tell in advance when they are going to do it? Is it often ?

Yes. ALL Pathmarks in NYC (Staten Island isn't NYC >_<! Shoo naysayers!!!!) do not double coupons unless it is foretold.

I don't understand why not. I feel that we should all be treated equally.. Especially when everything so expensive here.. Can this be changed?

Staten Island (last time I checked is a borough) doubles everyday, even states in their weekly ad that they will accept Internet coupons and will double Qs that state do not double. May be worth the massive toll for a big trip.

Yea, I'm not driving to SI just to shop unless it is a triple coupon day :|

the SI borough thing was a joke; I personally consider it too far from the rest of the city to be counted, but yea, its a borough.

I just drive to 207 since they have a parking lot (unlike 145th which required a few drive bys and rush packing xD!)

There were a few weeks in May when the SI Pathmark did triple coupons, and certain weekends when they doubled coupons upto $2. I hope they do it again soon! It was great!

There is like 4 Pathmaks and this is the only 1 that doubles i believe its because this one is like on the border btw Queens and Long Island. <3

From what I was told one time, it was due to the high rental space per square footage. Too much money goes out to pay the lease that it doens't allow them to take up the extra cost.
