Make the deals easier to spot and win great prizes!

Sometimes a deal looks good, but is it good enough to stock up on for the next week, or the next year? That's why you need a pricebook! A pricebook is a list of the regular prices of items throughout the store. When something goes on sale and/or comes out with a coupon, we can compare the deal price to the regular price to see how good of a deal it really is. This will also help on those "$1 off" or "B1G1" sales that don't have any price listed, and our weekly coupon matchups will be more complete!

Now comes the contest part: Every week, post the regular price of any item at your Pathmark store that's not already listed in the Pricebook (make sure to note the size of the package - i.e. 24 oz, 4 pk, etc.). For every item you post, you will receive 1 entry in the weekly Pricebook drawing. For each item that you post that is currently on sale with no price listed in the ad you will receive 2 entries!

Each week a winner will be drawn at random and the winner will have their choice of either A Potluck of Coupons or 20 coke points or 4 Pepsi points or 5 Box Tops for Education.

The contest will run from Friday to Thursday each week, to coincide with the weekly sales. The drawings will be every Friday.

You only have 3 days until the first drawing, so you'd better get those prices in!

This looks great. BUt, I don't have a Pathmark. Is this going to happen in the other store fourms and/or is there a way to tie this into the coupon database?

I'm afraid this contest is just something I'm doing in this forum, but you can ask the Forum Leader for the store you shop at if they would start a similar contest in their forum - it just depends on whether they have the time/coupons to spare. As far as the coupon database, the only connection will be that the pricebook will help me with the Pathmark coupon matchup database so that I can input the correct price for an item when there is none listed in the ad, so I won't have to estimate (estimating prices is not my forte, I'm afraid). Plus, I may be able to start putting notes on items that are considerably reduced, such as "75% off Reg. Price" or something like that. The Pathmark pricebook won't technically be a database, just a thread that lists the products in alphabetical order and is updated weekly. HTH!

For anyone interested in participating but you don't have the time to write down prices in the store just check your receipt and the regular price is on there and then if it's on sale it just discounts afterwards. Hope that makes sense!

but i live on the ny/nj border
and ny prices are different than the one in NJ

Jollygreen, are the prices different by a lot? I think a difference of 10 or 20 cents is okay. I did mention on the pricebook itself that the prices may vary from store to store. It still gives people a pretty good idea of what they can expect to pay. If you notice a specific trend (like everything is about .15 more in NY than in NJ), then I can make a note of whether each price is a NY price or a NJ price.
