Besides nose-picking, chewing with their mouthes full, smacking their gum, twirling their hair, leaving the toilet seat up or the toilet full? Nope, not a one.

ok where to start. I love my kids but they do have their little habits. MY DS loves to touch my breasts. he is always having his hands there. My DD at 4 has become the queen of attitude there are others but these are top

screaming, sobbing tantrums when she doesn't get exactly what she wants. I take something away from her (ie a nail clippers), she immediately starts sobbing, buries her face in the couch while she cries for a second, and looks up to make sure I'm watching. hmmm where did she learn this?

dss ... questions EVERYTHING we do, and will try to argue all day if we let him. dd screams at her brother...like no tomorrow. it's cute sometimes, but even when i want to laugh..i have to put my foot down, don't want her to think it's okay to disrespect anybody.

I've tried putting everything on her thumb, from band-aids to chili sauce She knows she'll be going to the ortho soon, but it still doesn't deter her!

my yr old dd has to have a partner for everything. like even going to the bathroom she says (holding herself) i have to go potty, come with me. and if i say no she won't go either. its like that with everything. if i tell her to go into another room she will ask everyone to go with her until she finds a buddy. two yr old dd is potty training, so my biggest gripe with her is she will get all frantic and yell i need go potty. so i will totalyl drop what i am doing to take her. get her pants down and situated and then she says i not need go potty. and then she proceeds to do this aobut twenty times an hour. my 11 month old dd screams and growles after every single bite of food at the top of her lungs until you shove another bite in and she throws a huge tantrum when all the food is gone, no matter how much i give her. and she yells at the top of her lung in the monring until i get her sippy cup out drinks it in about two second and throws the cup and growles till there it food. i have no clue how to slow down her appitite, she eats more than the other two combined! she is almost 30 lbs and only 11 months old. she weighs more than my two yr old! and wears bigger clothes.

Unless the person that is doing this realizes this action and take their thumb out of their mouth every time they do it. I don't believe that they will ever stop. It's just a comfort thing. When ds was on the sonogram..he had his thumb in his mouth. I have the tape to prove it. So, this started long before birth w/ds. I have also passed on nail biting to him so this kind of coincides..If I don't have nail polish on I will bite my nails when I get nervous. Good Luck for the thumb sucking. |
