Wish 5 1/2 yr old keeps having nightmares

Always my son will wake me up in the middle of the night to tuck him back in bed .. at least once or twice a night or to fix his binkie.. he likes to sleep with it folded up.

For the past month or 2 he is having nightmares.. I am so tired of getting up and putting him back to bed. some nights its like 4 times.. All I want is a full night sleep without interruptions.

I get up early for work and he has to sleep for school. some nights i just sleep with him knowing I can sleep straight through to morning. I was off all week for thanksgiving and must of spent 3 nights sleeping with him.

what can I do???? we keep his light dimmed for him....he can't tell me what he is dreaming about. I try to be sympathetic but it wears me out.. i feel bad that I yell at him about it.

How long will this last???

Is it possible he's seeing things on tv that are scaring him? My niece saw parts of Jaws when she was four or five and had nightmares for a long time after that.
