Easy ones I have seen: Waldo (Where's Waldo) Arthur Dent from the Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy (this one is really easy) Caption Hook Bilbo Baggins (or any LOTR character) Little more work: Muskateer Cat from the Cat in the Hat Good luck!

Thanks for the suggestions! I can always count on AFC'ers to help. ![]() I'm thinking Where's Waldo would be very easy, but I'm not sure about finding a striped shirt. Guess I'll head out today and see what the stores have. I've seen some sites that suggest making the shirt with fabric paint or duct tape, but that's intimidating to me! |

Aslan the Lion from the Lion, Witch & the Wardrobe, I think there may be another male character in there as well.

Daniel Boone was supposed to wear a "Coon Skin Hat". So all you would need is a furry brown hat, hang a furry tail on the hat & an old rugged brown shirt. Last edited by nowpoints; 10-29-2012 at 09:55 AM. |

What did they end up going as? I wish I'd seen this thread in time to give you ideas. Any knight could be King Arthur or just about any of the male human characters from CS Lewis's Narnia series. Dress a boy normally but give him a belt strung with buckle sized circles quartered with a cross and he's Will Stanton, the lead character of Susan Cooper's book The Dark is Rising. Mouse ears, a tail and a cookie and he can be from "If you give a mouse a cookie" Send him to school in pajamas and claim he is any of the characters from Sandra Boynton's "Pajama Time". Mad Hatter, March Hare, White Rabbit, Cheshire Cat are all fairly easy to pull off. My son had to have a Dr. Seuss costume last year for school. We managed to pull of The Lorax mostly because I already had an old lion costume we could alter. |
