Breast Pump

Hello!
I just wanted to ask any of the moms who are currently breast feeding, or breast feeding in the past. If they know of any good deals of a medela breast pump or where I can get one for cheap online or in stores. If anyone could help that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for any feedback ANYONE is able to provide.

try calling your insurance company to see if they would cover it, you would just need your OB to write a prescription. Otherwise I would wait for a sale and use a 20% off coupon at babies r us. You could also try calling your local hospitals and see if they sell them cheaper or know how you can get one for cheaper! Good for you breastfeeding! I was able to do so for 9 months. I used a lansinoh pump cause it was much cheaper but it did the trick for me!

Yeah the lansinoh pump worked great for me too at half the price. Also you can them on sale at babies r us. Also most hospitals have a rental program. Contact a Breast feeding consultant or lache league. They may have more ideas.

Some WIC programs also lend breast pumps, they are hospital grade double pumps. Those were what I used and I recommend a double pump because there is nothing worse then let down with a single pump, so much waste of milk from that other breast that didn't get caught! At least, I'd get a bottle with a shield attachment to catch it when that happens. I used medela, and I only have good things to say about their pumps. I paid about 90 bucks for my single electric medela back in 2005. Not sure what they go for now.
