| How to Organize the Puzzles?
Has anyone else noticed it is impossible to open a child's puzzle without completely destroying the box? Have you noticed that the boxes are not even sealed or completed - it is like little rectangles taped together along the edges? My boys are interested in their puzzles right now, getting 3-4 out per day, and the CHEAP-O falling apart boxes are really annoying me! I have taped them over and over, and tried stapling too. It's not working. How do you organize your puzzles? Thanks!

I have been using clear plastic clip boxes for puzzles. At first, I was cutting out the picture from the box, but I noticed they don't even look at it when they put their puzzles together. Sterilite - Storage: Small Storage I use the 3 sizes of clip boxes - the smallest one is great for small puzzles, the middle one for small toy collections, the biggest have paper in them(printer, notebook, construction). I have also been using the biggest size box to store some board games, as board game boxes are just as cheap as puzzle boxes. I love the way these boxes stack! I first saw them at Publix, but they are cheaper at Target(and the clips are in colors other than blue). HTH!

Thanks! I will try this. I think I will keep the box lids, then if I find a stray piece it's easier for me to know what box to slip it into. I was really hoping I could recycle something else into a puzzle container but I couldn't come up with anything.

I use all my empty baby wipe containers for storing things. Legos, smaller puzzles, crayons, whatever. I just make a label so know whats inside.

You are so right...I hate those boxes, they drive me nuts... For the 24 - 48 piece puzzles I just use a ziploc (Hefty with the slide). I also cut out the picture of the puzzle from the box so when the boys ask for the "Elmo" or which ever puzzle, I know which one it is, also the bags don't take up much room.

I found some really good puzzles at the dollar store. They are Disney (Mickey Mouse) and come in a really great box with tabs instead of a pull off box top. The pieces don't fall out and it's easy for DD to open and she can still look at the picture. I'm probably not painting a very good picture about what it looks like but it's a great box!
