My 7 yr old is doing a school project where they have to mail "flat Stanley" to a relative (or friend) in a different state (preferably). He is a flat little boy (Stanley, not my ds haha) that can fold himself into an envelope and visit faraway places.

He will need to be mailed back with a picture next to a landmark, or a souvenier of your area, and a postcard picture from your location (sounds like this one is the most important). The postcard will be placed on their "master" map,. showing everywhere flat Stanley went. Also, you would need to write back and tell of his visit so that ds can share it with his class.

THE COOLER THE BETTER!!! DS is in 2nd grade, and all about being "cool" The beach (like Stanley decided he was going to tie himself with a string, and be a kite for a day...whoops, flew into the ocean cause it was super windy, and almost got eaten be a shark, etc), or somewhere fun. We live in Ohio, so we have plenty of fields and farms .

I live up in Northern MN and my DH works for Arctic Cat designing snowmobiles and atv's. Little Stanley can test drive sleds and atv's. We also live an hour from where they make McDonalds french fries.

Mine doesn't sound too exciting next to all those. . .but here goes:
we live within walking distance from a theme park. The roller coaster comes right out to the road. I can either have him standing on the road with the coaster in the background, of if you get it to me this week, he can go ride some rides at the theme park.
By the way, this is Carowinds in Charlotte, NC. Let me know if you want us to host him.

I live in Pgh., PA. We have the incline, three rivers, very nice picture spots. Not sure if it would be fun for a second grader. I did this with my stidents in school. We had some crazy places. Let me know if your interested.

I live in a very small town 45 miles from Dallas. The only cool thing I could do is take a Pic of Stanley with the POW CAMP sign! Or set him on my fence with the chickens! LMK

Thanks for all the responses! He just got home from school and wants to send Stanley to ALL of you! (ps Stanley is 7, about 7 inches tall, and potty trained. He can be quite mouthy sometimes, but goes willingly back to his envelope )
I am considering asking ds' teacher if we have time to do a train...send him to everyone willing to participate (and if a few coupons travel along...well... ) Would anyone be willing to do that? I will try to think out all of the details. I think I will probably send a sheet of stamps. I would send a potluck of coupons, and everyone could take what they need, and pass them on (and add to it if they choose). Don't know what else. ??

I am willing to participate in whatever fashion you decide. No coupons are necessary for me. It would be fun to help out.
