I would like to join in. I live in south Carolina, I did see someone else from SC but I have lots of places to take Stanley, We have a statute of Ronald E. McNair - an astronaut that was killed in the space shuttle - they may have studied about him, My ds has but that may be because Ronald E. Mcnair was from here. We have Darlington Speedway, where they have Nascar races, We have Myrtle Beach, We have Shaw Air Force Base, If Stanley makes his way here I will get my DS involved - he will come up with some "cool" place.

I'd be willing to help out! I live in Northern Virginia - home of the Udvar-Hazey Air and Space Museum and right outside of Washington DC. We may be going to the National Zoo before it gets too cold for the winter. Or maybe get a picture of him w/the Washington Monument or the Capital in the background?

Does Stanley have clones or is it the same stanley getting around to everywhere? How long does the project last? Same as most everyone probably, the sooner the better 'cause we're less likely to go anywhere as it gets colder. Let me know!

I live in Putnam, CT home of Gertrude Warner Chandler who wrote The Boxcar Children books. I can take a picture of Stanley at the Boxcar museum that sits across the street from her former home.

Hey...here's a thought, what does Flat stanley look like? Can you copy him and send one to each person and they can take the pic with the copy and mail it back to you? Then you'd have lots in a short amount of time.

I can't really think of anything cool to take a pic of...maybe I can take a picture of him at the Minor league baseball diamond nearby. Darn, I could have taken a picture of him at a Detroit Pistons game but I think the next game I have tickets to isn't until Dec 29th.

I live 30 miles outside of Ft. Worth, the City of Weatherford aka the Cutting Horse Capital of The World. WE ARE NOT CUTTING THE HORSES IN ANY WAY! Cutting Horse is a descriptive term. A cutting horse is a well trained horse that is used to remove or cut a cow/calf out of a herd of 100s and/or 1000s. It is both a practical use and a rodeo use. Stanley is welcome to come and learn about cutting horses.

My grandson did that last year. We live in NC & he sent Flat Stanley ti WV to his other grandparents that is a carpenter or house remodeler. Pictures of Stanley haelping Pop put on Vinyl siding, roofing shingles, floor tile, etc plus trip to church and a cool restaurant in WV. You just prop him up, take the picture showing something interesting. Then had Pop tell about all the things that they did together. Have fun.

I am near Cumberland Gap, TN where Daniel Boone made his trip thru the wilderness, Abraham Lincoln Museum and LMU University, the Tunnel and the Cumberland Gap National Historical Park.


I wish the P-38 plane Glacier Girl was still in town. It was lost during WW2 and found in Antarctica under hundereds of feet of ice. They have a museum but the plane was moved to California (I think). That would have been cool to take his pic on it.

We did this for a friend's granddaughter about 4 years ago. She is in the Lakota school district in Ohio. We had so much fun with it.
