Ok, I worked up the courage (b/c I was a tad embarassed) and emailed the pre-K teacher. I confessed that the list she gave me was in a safe spot. So safe that even I couldn't find it. If she could email me what was on the list I would appreciate it. I also told her that if she let me know the HOT items (those things that tend to disappear fast), I would gladly buy extras.

She replied. And after reading the list she sent, I laughed:

Small plants, preferably ones that are easy to maintain
microwave popcorn
plastic zipper baggies (any size except for the snack size)
colored pencils - please buy the box that comes with the color pink
small, plain paper cups --a child friendly size
band-aids
hand sanitizer
paper nakpkins
paper towels
paper plates (preferably the smaller, 6 in. ones)

Um... does anyone else see what is majorly missing from this list?

I mean MAJORLY missing!

I won't answer my own question -- will leave it out there to see if anyone else finds the list a bit amusing in light of the other post about things on school supply lists.

You know what would be a hoot? If you could buy enough boxes of colored pencils to fill an entire package with pink ones! LOL

thats more like the list I have for extras in my truck(except for the plant)man I though my list was bad.
That is just to funny,I guess there will be no coloring just a bunch of partys and cleaning!!!

Well maybe the teacher won the lottery and she is providing the bacis and she wants you to pick up the extra fun stuff

No crayons?
No glue?
No scissors?

DH & I distinctly remember seeing crayons and markers on the list. I guess she just didn't remember that her students would need basic school supplies! All my worries and all I neeeed to do is buy paper products! Got a garage full of those Wonder if she needs/wants TP as well?

I'm changing my previous responce. I thought maybe she was just being silly (because that is exactly the sort of thing I'd do).... But the more I'm thinking about it, the more I think she's a nut! LOL

I would tend to believe she thought you were offering to go over and above the original list of items needed. It sounds like she didn't realize you needed the original supply list and just was adding things she would like to have for the class. Maybe a quick emeil back questioning this list and asking about crayons and markers etc. Tell her you want to make sure your child is prepared for school and you don't want to forget anyhting. Say again you lost the preschool supply list your CHILD needs..
