How does it work? If you have a 99cent coupon does it triple to almost 3bucks or is there a one dollar cap on triples? If you have a dollar coupon does it just ring up a dollar or is it more? Sorry if this is a stupid question but before I make an out of the way trip to the nearest A&P thought I should be clear on the policies and I just wasn't sure by what I read on the web-site.

Don't worry, those aren't stupid questions-- they are the same ones I needed to know before my first triples trip, too!

If your coupon is .75 (that's the highest I ever have), it triples to $2.25. On the receipt, it comes off once and says 'huggies' (for example) .75- then again right after 'multiplied coupon' 1.50-.

Any coupon $1 or above comes off at face value.

Some helpful hints:
Huggies wipes are good ones to use-- they are often .75 so you can get a tub for .74 (since they are $2.99 at my store). Also JL Kraft spreadable cheese coupons are .75 so you get the cheese for .74 (also $2.99). Oh, and Cut Rite wax paper is always free (coupon is usually .50 and it costs $1.49). Tyson Anytizers and other coupons are .55, Laughing Cow are .55 and the cheeses are $2 right now. If you have .75 Balmex coupons, those are great, too.

Oh, one more thing, my A&P does not take IP coupons. There were signs up at all of the cash registers that they do not take them.
