I have one that I shop at often. I just found out last week that they won't accept internet printed coupons any longer. Is that an A&P policy throughout all stores?

I shop there when they have good bonus buck deals or triple coupons. It's about 15 minutes away.

I'm moving to NJ at the end of this year and based on the research I've done I am more than likely going to be shopping at Pathmark and A&P. They seem to be having the best prices. Are there other places in Jersey I should be considering? I looked and there are no Super Walmarts out there, which is what I'm used to here in the midwest. Anyway, so yeah, I will be shopping at A&P, just not quite yet! :-)

Where are you moving to in NJ? I lived there almost all my life ( until NC!) and although an A&P is down the street, I always got the BEST deals at Shoprite. I would certainly go there, Pathmark and Stop and Shop.. but Shoprite first! I completely MISS their food and food selections.. way better then in NC!
( Plus, no sales tax on food!!! .. um or clothes for that matter)

I have been in New Jersey for 1 year now. I and my wife shop groceries only on the basis of deals and coupons. If something is not on deal we dont get it.

I want to set the record straight about which store is the best. I know it is subjective but on an average I have always found the the cheapest deals are in

1. SHOPRITE
2. PATHMARK
3. A&P

Pathmark and AP is being managed by the same management. I really dont like A&P because at least in the 1 located in Belleville, NJ the check out lane always takes 20 mins or 30 mins.

They have 4 or 5 counters and invariably they will have only 1 open. They move sluggishly and its horrible.

There are some good AP stores like the one in US-46 Totowa and in New Port. But they never or seldom have any major good deals.

The only good deals they have is if you do bulk shopping from them they have buy 25.00$ worth and get this 1 or 2 items for 99c or 1.50$ - those might be good if you do all monthly shopping from them.

I shop there pretty frequently. They have triples pretty often, although they don't take IP's.
I find they have good deals on meats, baby stuff, and they have a great clearance section (at least mine does). I love the "4-day deals" that they run Friday-Monday. Quite often, I would pick up diapers for $6.99 a pack.
I do have to say that Shoprite is my go to store. If I can only go to one store to shop - then I go there. Milk is always on sale and I like their Baby Bucks program better ($10/$75 rather than $20/$200 at A & P).
I am also suprised whenever I go into Stop & Shop. I always think of them as an "expensive store", but then I often get good deals.
Where are you moving to in Jersey?

I like Shoprite in Bloomfield, NJ/Nutley and West Caldwell. The A & P in Montclair is nice. I rarely go to Pathmark.

I shop at the A&P in Oak Ridge, NJ, but I only get the items that are on sale. Otherwise, they are way overpriced.
