I want to find a good deal on laptop. 15.6" screen, i5 / i7 and weight as less as possible. does anyone have a model to suggest? Also I had a question : does back to school sales have very good deals on laptop?
should I wait for back to school sale for a very good deal? or I can find better deals than back to school sales anytime. Thanks for helping.

Check out cowboom, it's an online store owned by best buy but they have new, used and refurbished laptops, computers, tablets etc.... Really great prices! They ship quick and the items are as described! Ordered from them twice now.
But be wary if you chat with online support they are rude! I would call instead because they are very nice!
Also if you go through ebates or shop at home you get cash back and they have coupon codes

Thanks for replying. I looked up the website, but really can't find anything good. They only have 2 new and even for refurbished and preowned laptops, they are very poorly configured with much higher prices. Did you find a really good deal at cowboom? I have a IBM thinkpad bought referbished for 350$ 2 years ago. Since I bought it the DVD drive never worked and power cable is so loose, if I move my laptop i have to replug it every time. Other than that it's still working fine. so I am kind of resisting buying a refurbished or pre-owned. Does anybody have a really good experience buying a pre-owned or refurbished?

every now and then, woot dot com or daily steals website come up with great laptop deals comparable to auction sites where you don't have to pay to register. check them out frequently for best deals.

you might check your local stores for open stock or clearance items making way for new
...probably some sales coming for graduation gifts and thru the summer for back to school

I believe this is the best time of the year to buy them almost everywhere. But of course by going to the Best Buys, and actual electronic heavyweights you should be able to do a good cost comparison and get the best deals. Take different sales flyers into each store and have them compete for your business. In this economy, you never know!
