Okay I need help from you old timers. When you have a coupon that states buy 2 get 1 free do you buy 2 items or 3????

I remember seeing a post that you just have to buy 2 items.

Any help would be appreciated!!

you are required to buy 3 items.

you pay for 2 either with 2 outright free coupons or two x/1 or one x/2 coupons and the 3rd item is where you use the B2G1F coupon

if you have just the B2G1F coupon, then you pay for the 2 items at sale/full price and use the coupon on the 3rd item to get it free, just pay tax.

Of the buy 2 get 1 free Q's I have used (starkist tuna pouches)-- it requires two be purchased and the third one is free. HTH

you will be getting 3 items total. it's really buy 2 get the third free, just not worded that way.

if the coupon were for 2 items, it would be "buy one, get one free."

the format is that you must buy the first x-number of items to get the discount on the next item you pick up.
