Anyone know what the price of the pastel paper is before Easy Rebate? From the flyer, it looks like the Photo Paper is 8.99.

If I get 2 x Duracell = 25.98 and get 100% Staples Rewards, I should be able to then get 2 x Photo Paper and 2 x Pastel Paper, right? 2 x Photo Paper would be $17.98, leaving me $8 to spend...

Do we get Staples Rewards immediately? Do I have to use it all at once like a catalina? I'm not familiar with Staples Rewards either...

Nope, not a catalina, it is an actual rebate, but you don't have to do anything....I have received it in the mail lately, but I think they used to email them. Once you get them, they can be used like cash and are good for about 45 days at Staples. You can also turn in used printer cartridges for $2 each, which will come just like the rebate. It's a great program, but you have to stay on top of it, a couple times my stuff didn't get credited, but they were very nice about straightening it out. You can go online to check your rewards.

Just remember dont use your rewards on new rewards items....you wont get them back because rewards are based on oop dollars.

I think it would apply to both. I just got a $20 "reward" in the mail yesterday for turning in 10 used printer cartridges. It doesn't expire until 5/31.

Yes I just bought two packs of batteries(12.99), a pack of paper(5.99), and ink 60xl 36.99 I used a $3.00/2 Duracell mq found in Duracell packs andy 20 ink rewards certificate. I clearly asked if I would still receive my rebate and she said yes. So it was actually a 3.00 MM for me with the mq make sure you check your coupons for duracell I also had a $1.00 off one but $3/2 was better

But the batteries were rewards back items. They will deduct that $20 from the reward total you get back. Cashiers didnt even know this at my store when I told them I got screwed out of over $20 in rewards one month because of this.

It is best if you purchase full rebate items and 100% rewards items in separate transactions and get separate receipts. You should use any previous rewards to purchases only the full rebate items. Use cash to purchase 100% rewards items. You should not use previous rewards when purchasing 100% rewards items. It really does make a difference!! Reread this carefully so you don't make a mistake.

You have to apply for the rebates(online or by mail). When you make your purchase, you will receive a rebate form and a rebate receipt in addition to your regular receipt.

100% Rewards will automatically be issued by mail or e-mail if you have a Staples Rewards card and used it when making your purchase. It will take about 4 weeks to receive your rewards certificate. You can immediately sign up for a rewards card at the register. Ask the cashier to sign you up for a rewards card before making your purchase.

A manager at my Staples told me that the system would deduct any rewards used from the amount that would be given back to me in a 100% rebate transaction. So, I've been scared to use them even for the full rebate items.

To echo what was said above: it it IMPERATIVE do a separate transaction for anything that you use rewards to purchase, if you want to get something back later (rewards for sure, and possibly rebates). Their system takes a proportion of the rewards used off of every item in the transaction.

So for example if I have Staple rewards for 12.99 and I purchase 2 pastel papers at 6.99 each total 13.98 minus my rewards 12.99 = .99 oop and then I submit for the easy rebate and I would get $13.98?? (I realize the pastel paper was valid Sun-Wed just want to understand) Staples is confusing to me. Any help would be appreciated.

^So far I have not had problems getting full rebates back when I use rewards. I did this in February when it was kleenex, white paper and photo paper and I just got my rebate check this week. Full amount, not what I actually paid. Hth

Clarifying:

Rewards can be used to buy REBATE items, to get a check back in cash.

Rewards may NOT be used for 100% rewards items, those must be oop. That no money must then be used in store, but the item you got for 100% rewards was free. Similar to free after register rewards at Walgreens?
