I have been buying all of our ink cartridges and toners from Office Max for about a year. I also recycle any cartridges I have or find there as well. I am looking for any helpful tips on using the maxperks rewards program. I would like to be able to "roll" my maxperks and be able to use them for large purchases or have a "savings" stored for when I need more ink. I wanted to purchase the cases of printer paper they had on the bonus deal until yesterday but wasn't to sure about it. We use alot of paper and I certainly hate paying the price of paper. I know the initial OOP purchase would have been hefty but wouldn't it be like making an investment? Having to fork out the cash now but getting alot of paper for a penny and at the end of the following month have the 47.97 (or whatever it was) credited into my maxperks account? It seems like a fantastic investment but want to see what others think or if there are any tips to be shared. I have to buy ink for 2 of our printers tomorrow and I do not see they have a new sales add up yet. Do they not have them weekly? And how often do they have the bonus maxperks offers? Do they accept expired Q's that are theirs? I have the $10/30 that expired yesterday and was unable to make it there. TIA |

I have been taking advantage of the maxperks program for the last few months and I am hooked. I got started by purchasing two cases of paper and have been rolling these perks for months now and it has been a great investment. The rewards do expire in three months time but to be honest with you I usually spend them as soon as they are posted to my account and my Sunday morning always includes a quick visit to maxperks.com to see what new rewards they have. My investment in paper has lead to a stockpile of office supplies in the last few months. Batteries, sharpies, pens, mechanical pencils, highlighters, staplers, expo markers, sharpies, and even more sharpies. Did I mention sharpies, officemax is always giving them away! I usually make all my officemax purchases online and in order to keep my "costs" (taxes and shipping) I purchase a minimum of $50 to get free shipping and to offset the loss of my maxperk rewards to pay for taxes I use shopathome.com to get 4% cash back. As I mentioned earlier Sunday is the day thier sales start and since I have been doing this they seem to have maxperk deals almost every week. Some weeks better than others...and I have never been faced with a problem of having to use my rewards or lose them as I either use them to purchase ink (stocked up when they offered 20% rewards for ink purchase) or just roll them with other 100% reward deals. I am not sure about the expired coupons, but I would assume that is a YMMV situation. HTH! |

| Some deals have special fine print that you'll have to read, but generally rewards post in the middle of the next month. For example, rewards from any May purchases will post in mid-June.
