Born and raised here in ND. I know there are at least 2 other NoDaks here (Hi Andie and Dana!) Just have Target, Kmart, Walmart and CVS here! If I could just figure out the local grocery stores and their sales, I could plan better like the bigger, nation wide chains.

A North Dakotan all the way. I was born in the huge metropolis of Columbus, OH. My family moved here when I was 5 via the Air Force. Love it here. Safest state in the nation. Highest quality education in the nation. Cleanest air in the nation. Friendliest, most kind and caring people in the nation. So many more terrific things about living here but not enough room to name them all. LOL

Born and raised in ND! We live in a small town and have to drive 90 miles to get to Target/Walmart etc but I am hoping to learn how to make those trips more worth it and hopefully save some money!

My best friend lives in Mandan, outside of Bismarck. While he isn't nearly as far away from big stores as you are, it's still not around the corner. Good luck to you, and welcome! *hug*

Dan's is too far from me right now but my parents shopped there when I was still at home and I think they still do.

Just moved to ND from Alaska and am loving everything but the long drive to get to a grocery store. I have never even stepped foot into a CVS or a WAGS before and am excited to get there.

We are planning a trip to Minot in the next couple weeks and cant wait to see it. I fell asleep just before going through it when we drove down. 2700 miles in a vehicle with 5 kids, I was exhausted by the time we crossed the boarder. Not to mention the engine blowing up in the van just outside of Beaver Creek. Hope to hear more ND s.

I'm in Forman, in the southeast corner of the state, about 250 miles from you. That sounds like quite a trip you had! I hope you and your family love ND!

Hi! just found this thread! I'm from central ND. Shop in Bismarck mostly and Minot once in a while. Anyone interested in getting together this summer (2009) for a couponers party? Maybe at one of the larger cities (Minot or Bismarck) at a park?? Maybe have a coupon and or stockpile swap meet? I'm going to put a link to this thread on my signature, so hopefully it will drive more NDers here and maybe we could all get together!

OK...had a few more thoughts on the couponers get together... I'm thinking an event that costs everyone nothing....or next to nothing. Place...park (free activity for kids, and no charge to use a picnic shelter) I'd lean towards Bismarck or Minot. Food...potluck or bring your own? Events: Swap meet... stockpile and or coupon trading Suprise envelope swap... Anyone who wants to participate, bring an envelope with $50 in coupons, no more than 3 multiples of any coupon, Expiration date must be at least 1 month after the event, and put a summary of the types of coupons in the envelope. Then we do the christmas party swap game, using the basic white elephant gift exchange rules White elephant gift exchange - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia . Discussion time... CVS strategies Target strategies Kmart Doubles strategies Current rebates How to get your hands on free coupons **Any more discussion ideas??? What else would we want to do??? Is anyone even intersted in doing this??

OK...I moved the ND get together info to a new thread... http://www.afullcup.com/forums/chit-...er-thread.html You can't edit the posts here(don't know why that is), so there would be no way to keep the most current info all in one thread. OK guys! Let's get together!!

You can only use expired overseas, so no not at ours. We do have good deals on most things. The dairy items are definitly one of the best deals. They take most all coupons and usually have several tear pads hanging around the store. It is a great place to pick up a couple extra copies of the P&G Qs too. A down side would be the surcharge. We have to pay extra (kind of like a tax) to shop there, they use that money to pay the cashiers salaries. |

I'm from Bis, and I'm new to aggressive couponing. I'm a stockpiler at heart. Early in our marriage DH wondered why I always wanted to buy 4 of everything. He would get mad, saying we didn't need it. Now I love how my pantry has grown, and I look forward to having 10-12 weeks worth of food in there!

Did the Bismarck Tribune really quit getting the P&G? I couldn't find any at Walmart, so I called the advertising department. They said they pulled out, but were hoping to get a "new" coupon insert in the near future. I asked if she meant Red Plum, and then she said they were the one's that pulled out! So now I'm just confused. Anyone seen a P&G recently in ND?

Anstar, I was thinking the same thing. The Fargo Forum hasn't had a P&G insert since December and now the Red Plum inserts have disappeared too. The last couple of weekends, the SS insert has had maybe 10 q's in it...I'm so disappointed! However, we still have access to the Pioneer Press & Star Tribune and they sell at the same price or less than the Forum.
