There's this story going around on the local news here about some cats from a feral colony living @ a tv station were "exterminated" And then they were bulldozing the cats home to try and get rid of them. Despite offers from animal rights groups to help remove the cats humanely etc. They want to trap them and get the cats seen by vets, spayed, shots etc. But their offers were just ignored. If any of you could take a minute and just sign this petition I'd appreciate it....

That's so sad. My friend feeds 3 groups of feral cats everyday and I help when I can. In fact, my littlest cat, Babygirl, was a kitten in one of those groups. We caught her, took her to the vet to get her checked out and I brought her home to be part of the family. I'm so glad I did. She's one of the sweetest and most lovable kittys I ever saw.

Of course I have to sign.

Smiles my kitty who got sick recently was a stray and he was part of a TNR program at some point in his life. (Trap nueter and release) because he has one of the tips of his ears cut off. I took care of another one I named Willis a few years ago he was so sweet. He was not very tame though and it took a lonnnngggggg time before he was much calmer. He would act fine but when he wanted something like attention or pets he'd bite you. Not really hard but it'd still hurt. It took some time before he stopped doing that. Sadly I had to put him down about a year after I began caring for him because he got pretty sick w/some kidney problems. I'll never forget how when I first started taking care of him he'd had this horrible ear infection and he would lay down and allow me to clean his ears a few times a day until the infection healed up and I knwo it was painful for him but he trusted me for some reason.

Thanks y'all I really appreciate it. I too was horrified when they aired the story. It irritated me even more to know that animal groups had offered to help and their offers were just ignored. I don't know what they were thinking. This is a TV station of all places. Like nobody would ever know!

Ooohhh....I feel so bad for those cats. I have the hugest heart and would do anything for any animal and this story just makes me so mad....how can they possibly do this and get away with it?

I'd like to bulldoze about 50 feet of snow or dirt all around their houses and see how they like it!

That is sickening. I think this just highlights what's wrong with our society today. We seem to live with a throw away mentality, these are animals NOT pests. Both of my cats were strays, I didn't kill them because they got into my trash, I took them in and gave them a home.

I completely agree. The very LEAST they could do was have the compassion and heart to partner with the ASPCA or some other group to help them instead of calling in "critter control" but obviously they have no heart.

I still want them to go after FOX. I can't believe that they would even do this. How can such a cruel man get a job of such power.

I agree that the guy at fox should face some charges too! I mean who does he think he is? And like nobody would find out about this? It took place at a freaking tv station. When they first reported on the story they also told us that the guy at fox who owns the station is in the process of trying to sell the fox station, and buy the cbs one. I think he just has no care for anyone or anything but himself.
