I agree. While I don't like the facts that that the men marry more than one wife. And might be marrying young girls I don't think the State worker's should be able to take away their rights to their children.

The stories and style of living coming out of this incident have been extremely disturbing to me. Perhaps I have lived a sheltered, Baptist, North Carolina life and have not known that such beliefs were in existence in our Country. I believe with all my heart in freedom of religion. I believe that the family is the basis of society and that the entity of the family and the sanctity of that family should be protected and preserved. I believe in the rule of law in that established law protects our freedoms and helps ensure our safety. That being said, I am STILL concerned

1. That they have not ensured the safety of the teen girls from the molestation of men at the compound
2. That they are not, to my knowledge, assuring the prevention of children from being spirited away from the area to prevent discovery of wrongdoing on the part of adults
3. That they have not begun prosecution of those involved in fraudulently bilking the government of welfare or WIC funds with their marriages and "divorces" that allow the"single" mothers (who live with the fathers and new wife) to receive funds from the government
4. That they have not determined why the mothers and children were lying about identities - who is mother to whom and whose child you are????
5. That if the phone call that began the whole incident has been identified as coming from the individual identified by the media, why same individual has not been interview by media and why prosecution has not begun in her case

I understand the distress of the mothers and also understand the joy in the upcoming reunion with their children. Thank God I have never had to experience what they have.

Latter Day Saints?-I think not, God sent his one and ONLY Son--biligamy is a sick, sick way of life. I understand what a sick world we live in, but these people are victims of nerdy and VERY sick men. I cannot believe any mother would let her daughter or son live in this type community, except being so brainwashed.

All the ruling said was that they hard no right to take them initially, but they don't have to return them if they now have evidence that they were abused in any way. And this ruling only pertained to the children of 38 families as they were the only ones on the appeal.
