I saw this a few weeks ago and was shocked they could survive like that. There are hundreds of people who live in "Lost Vegas" like this. Just awful that they should have to.

I think it is crazy! Also-- the guy has a couple outstanding warrents out on him from when he did drugs...don't you think it will be easier for the cops to spot him now that his face was on the internet & they also said he goes to the casinos to get money!?!?!?

I am so cynical...my first thought when reading this was, this has to be fake. But I guess it's not. How horrible.

It is awful that people have to live like that, it makes me feel so blessed for what I have when I hear stories like this! That being said, I don't really feel all that sorry for this particular couple. It say's that they have been living down there for 2 years! I have a really hard time believing that in 2 whole years neither of them would be able to get and keep a job. It seem's to me that if they worked half as hard as they did looking for money in the casino's they would be able to find a job fairly easily. I understand that the economy is falling apart and jobs are scarce but if my family was forced out on the streets you had better believe that me and my husband would do EVERYTHING in our power to get a job. If they are making even $20 dollars a night (what the article say's they go for) that's not far off from what my husband and I have coming in and we have a baby. We are student's and have very little money, but we get by every month and work hard to save money and live as frugally as possible. My husband works extremely hard to get through school to better our lives instead of deciding to do as little work as possible to get by. Sorry, if this seem's insensitive because I KNOW there are homeless people out there that are trapped and can't help their situation. I just don't buy it with these 2.
