New here and have questions Hello all. MY name is Angela and I'm the mother of 10 very active kids. I decided to give couponing a try again in an effort to save more money while shopping. I'm not sure about navigating this site, right now I'm just looking around. One of the questions that I had was about using food stamps with coupons. I have done this in the past and ended up having to pay tax on the coupons. Is this usual? What about rebates on food that was paid with f/s? Where are some of the best places to get coupons? Right now I only shop at Wal-Mart but will be shopping at Albertson's, Winn Dixie, Sa-A-Lot and if I go to my MIL, Sav-A-Center. I'm in Louisiana, outside of Baton Rouge if that matters any. Thanks in advance for your help. love and blessings angie

Welcome Angela. I really don't know about using food stamps with coupons but if you only have to pay tax that is not so bad. Go to the forum and read the post related to the places where you shop. There is usually a coupon matchup and sometimes you may even get what is going to be on sale the week before so you can plan your shopping. I get my coupons from buying extra papers, friends, the coupon data base, home mailers, trading with other members, and some people get their from ebay. Go and join up to get a coupon fairy also (check the RAOK) thread. A fairy (AFC member) will send you some coupons. You will love this site.

welcome to AFC yes you can use coupons with food stamps and you do pay taxes on the coupons but it is not much at all, i think the most my daughter has ever paid in taxes for using coupons with food stamps is 25 cents. not bad for being able to stretch them as far as you can start getting the sunday paper, they have cpns in them and if you can use printables, there are a lot in the data base, check out magazines, sometimes they have them and check your stores for blinkie machines.

Welcome! You can use food stamps with coupons and you will have to pay taxes, unfortunately. you will find lots of places here to get much of your stuff free, though. if you have walgreens & CVS there you can get lots of great ideas for saving on stuff there, too. im sure with 10 kids it is hard to plan a shopping trip but i hope this site helps you out. i hope you love it here as much as i do!
