| Scolari's does double coupons! Any others you've found?
This is the only grocery store in NV I've found that does them. Anyone know anymore? They have about four locations in Reno and their website shows their weekly sale flyer.

Thank you! I moved to Spanish SPrings recently, so I'm not too close, but if they double coupons, that'll be worth a trip.

Well with me living in Henderson I'm not very close, but it's good you found a store that doubles your coupons. Smiths does here every now and then, but it's been a long time since they've done it from what I'm told. |

I'm pretty sure there is a Scolari's in Sparks near the Spanish Springs area.....somewhere around Sparks Blvd/Disc Drive if I remember correctly. I moved to Palomino Valley about a year ago. |

Only store that regularly doubles in the Reno area is Scolari's, but watch Smith's ads they occasionally have a promo where they will redeem coupons of any amount for $1.00, I scored on that one with a bunch of 25 cent coupons that I wouldn't have ordinarily used. Scolari's has a limit of $1 on coupon doubling but what I don't understand is that if I have a coupon for $1.50, they only give me face value of the coupon, it seems that it should double up to an additional $1.00 off... Frequently at Scolari's a coupon without any restrictions on doubling just won't double in their register, rather than doing an override they just give you face value of the coupon. Yesterday they had Yakisoba for 99 cents, I had 5 fifty cent off coupons, so doubled I got those for free. Mio was on sale for $2.99, so with my $1.00 coupon doubled I get to try it 'on the cheap' for 99 cents. |

the rules are on their website scolaristores dot com (I'm too new to be allowed to link here) It says they will double on up to 3 of each item, but if I have more than 3 coupons, I just ask if they want to ring it up in two transactions and they just take them all..although I've never tried more than 5.

Do they double every coupon for each item? For instance if I have a .50/OFF MQ coupon and a .50/OFF store coupon, do they double both? Or just the MQ?

I'm also in Henderson and I really WISH Smith's would double! I couldn't believe it when I moved here 5 years ago that not one store in Southern Nevada doubled coupons. I'd gotten away from couponing but with the economy the way it is, I find myself back in it. If anyone has any tips, I'm ALL ears! LOL... |

A few pretty good deals at Scolari's Free bagel bites with $1.00 off coupon doubled Mio .99 cents after $1.00 off coupon doubled Pepsi Max $8 for 4 12 packs with $1.00 off 2 12 packs (coupon is inside most 12 packs of pepsi). (I guess I can't link yet, but if you go to scolaristores dot com /Shop/WeeklyAd.aspx you can search their weekly circular by brand which is very handy) Last edited by 2sleepy; 04-24-2011 at 08:05 AM. |

The 2 Scolari's by me are getting really picky about coupons. They scan the product and then immediately the coupon and if the product is 1.99 they won't double the coupon or adjust it to 1.99. I use to go all the time but know I have been avoiding them due to them making me feel bad and getting watched like a hawk. Please tell me what Scolari's you go to that is still doubling everything to 1.00

Ok, so my Hubby and I are "Newbs" at couponing. We live in Northern CA and they do not double here - why I have no idea - considering how expensive it is live here, I wish they did! So, since my in-laws live in Reno NV - we are planning a trip to Scolari's for this up coming Memorial Day. So I just wanted some help in clarifying some math on their doubling policy. Right now they have Crest toothpaste on sale for $1.99 with card ($1.49 if you buy 10). We have $1.00 off coupons that will double to $2.00 each - so if we buy 3 @ 1.99 and have them take $2 0ff - we will actually get them for free right?? Of course we are buying more then just tooth paste - but I just wanted to make sure my understanding was correct before getting all excited about saving. Thanks ALL!

Nope, they are real crappy about doubling something that is less than the price of the coupon doubled, they only want to give you face value. Here are there stingy rules: Scolari's encourages customers to bring in manufacturer coupons. Scolari's will double manufacturer coupons up to and including $1.00. Offer excludes all liquor, tobacco, dairy regulated items, store coupons and coupons that exceed the value of the item. If the double portion of the coupon exceeds the value of the item the coupon will be taken at face value. If the coupon states "DO NOT DOUBLE" the coupon will be taken at face value. If a coupon exceeds $1.00 the coupon cannot be doubled and will be taken at face value. A maximum of three coupons for each coupon offering will be doubled per customer. All other coupons for that offering will be taken at face value. I used to be able to get the manager to do an override for the $1.99 stuff, but the last time I was there they absolutely refused to budge on it. And try to get a younger cashier the older ones look at you like you are pond scum for 'bothering them' with coupons. I did some price checking there the other day and their toothpaste with a $1 coupon doubled was more expensive than at Walgreens without any coupon. But, if you shop carefully there are times that you can do well. I had a $1 off coupon on any kikkoman product, about 90% of kikkoman were $2.79. I also had a coupon for a free bottle of kikkoman ponzu sauce with the purchase of any kikkoman product. So, for 79 cents I got kikkoman terriyaki sauce and ponzu sauce a savings $4.79. All I can tell you is know your prices before you go there and don't waste your dollar off coupons when doubled you are paying more than you would elsewhere without them being doubled. Print out their coupon policy, I can't post a link here yet but it is scolaristores dot com /double-coupons.aspx and if they don't want to follow their own rules ask for the manager. I get far more good deals at CVS and Walgreens than I do at Scolari's when you shop carefully and buy the deals that give you certificates to use like cash on your next purchase you can really score, but you have to use discretion or you will end up with a bizillion razors and body wash ...

Scolari's has Freschetta Pizza's for $4.49, and in the store I go to they even had the more expensive varieties included. If you buy 10 or more specified products, (there's a big list in their ad) the price drops to $3.99. If you google Freschetta Coupon you should easily find a $1 off coupon that will double. You can print 2 from each computer in your home. I only had 3 on me today but was very happy to walk out with 3 pizzas for $1.49 each! I can't post links yet so you will have to find scolari's weekly ad and the freschetta coupons on your own, but it's a heck of a deal!

There's a Scolari's right at the corner of Vista and Disc in Spanish Springs - not sure if there is one closer, but that's the closest one I know of out there.
