Hey everyone! I've been keeping track of all the AFC boards for about a month now, but I actually made an account today so I could tell you about my awesome trip to Walmart.

I've never Priced Matched at WalMart before, and it seems that for some of you it's easy and some it's not so easy, depending on the cashier. I was with someone else who had more stuff to get than me, so I went ahead and checked out.

I had 6 Oral B Indicator Toothbrushes and 2 BIC Soleil Disposable Razors. The razors were a four pack each and the toothbrushes were singles. A few weeks ago, when Walgreens had that major deal on those toothbrushes, my Walgreens AND Walmart was both out of stock, so I wasn't able to get them. The latest ad for Harps has the exact toothbrushes for 2/$3. I paid $3 for 6 toothbrushes. It wasn't as good as they could've been - free - but $.50 for a toothbrush is pretty good. And I got lots of pretty colored toothbrushes - bonus!

I walked up to a ten items or less register, and the lady was really young, maybe twenty. When I walked up, I asked her if I could Price Match and she said yes. I put everything on the counter-thing. I told her that I had an ad if she needed to see it so I got it out and showed her the prices. She said half of three, would be $1.50 (thinking out loud there) and she was right. I know it takes me a second or longer to do math sometimes too! She rang up the razors and then I showed her the razor price, which was $4.98. She put the price in before telling me that she thought that their price was cheaper. So she re-rang it and it came out as $4.47. I'm so glad she pointed that out, I was very happy. So she took it off and rang them up normally. I saved 51 cents just because she caught that.

Then I gave her my coupons. I had three $2/2 Oral B Indicator tootbrushes and two $3/1 BIC Soleil razor. She told me that I had saved a lot of money and I thanked her again for telling me about the cheaper price. I was a very happy camper just because of my awesome experience.

If I had bought this stuff at retail/sale price, it would've been $17.94
If I had used my Price Match idea and coupons (and if she hadn't pointed out the razor price), I would've spent $18.96.
But because she noticed the price, and I Price Matched, and used my coupons, my total before tax was $5.94.

I went from $17.94 to $5.94! That's a total of $12 that I saved. YAY! And to top it off, my cashier was very nice and helpful.

That is great! I am glad you had a positive experience for your first pm. I went to Walmart to pm a few things and it wasn't that easy of a trip for me. I ended up with 4 Walmart employees counting the manager. he was very nice about it. However I seemed to have picked the wrong cashier. Won't go down her register again! Lol.
