| Bad Walgreens Experience
Went to Walgreens today to take advantage of my MQ for Right Guard Deodorant buy one get one free coupon. I have read from other couponer posts that they have gone to walgreens to take advantage of this coupon because, the store has Right Guard on sale for B1G1 which would result as both FREE Well when i went to Walgreens to do the same, they were hesitant to give me both for free!! i had to got to at least 3 different walgreens to take advantage of their promo and my MQ ( today was the last day for the MQ and i wanted to use it before it expires!) Is there something that i can show them for NEXT Time?!?! |

Print a copy of Wags coupon policy. I'm sure someone can post the link.

Hopefully in time, you will find a wags that is coupon friendly. I have 4 that I can get to easily, but only one that handles the bogo efficiently every time. That's where I take my business!

I was able to get the Right Guard deo free (just paid tax for 8) by using 4 of the BOGOfree cpns. They also accepted my $1 cpns. Our WAGS, would not allow this with the previous deal with the Right Guard BW. Go figure.............it's so hard to keep up with WAGS and their changes. Ugh, but I got the deod and am happy about that.

When I went to WAGS for the Right Guard BW sale previously the asst mgr only took off half of one (even though the register rang up as $4.99 and $0), saying he can't give it to me for free. The manager was not in at the time so I called corporate the next day and they told me it's totally up to the manager and how they want to handle it. I just said forget about it. Wasn't worth my time to argue about it or try to explain it. It's great to get stuff for free, but for me, it's not worth the stress. |

I don't understand why these managers take coupons so personal!! Its not like its coming out of their pocket!!! Or even walgreens pocket for that matter!!

| I agree! If I don't get it now, eventually the deal will come around again. I want to maintain my good relationship with SMs, MsOD and cashiers. There's more important things in life than deods and BWs.

| Hear hear! I have been couponing since November of last year, so not very long, but the amount of stuff I have been able to accumulate, donate, and share with friends and family have been significant. I have been able to try new stuff, got lots for free, eat abundantly and so I'm content, and happy. Miss a deal, get a deal, it will come around again eventually.

| Wags managers are not trained well on coupon usage. The blame should go to higher up the ladder not the managers.

As an assistant manager of a call center, I have had to numerous times make a decision on a whim, BUT always went higher up the next day to ask if what I did was right and if it happens again, how should it be handled. As a manager you have the authority, BUT best to be fully knowledgeable about what your decision costs and what is best for the company and customers. Then set the precedence and make sure that ALL your cashiers and assts are on the same page! A mandatory meeting that shouldn't take more than a half hour or hour would be perfect to go over items and answer questions. It's important to the business, and to the cashiers and customers. It would help everyone so much if they could just think and not be lazy! |

You are correct in noting that Walgreens coupon policy does not address using b1g1 free sales combined with b1g1 free coupons resulting in two free items. The coupon states you must buy one to get one free - technically you aren't buying one from Walgreens. This is why I personally do not like trying to do such deals like this. I'm fine with grabbing four items, having two ring up free, using a b1g1 free coupon on the two being purchased, and then 3 $x/1 if available (this is how I got my Clean & Clear a few weeks ago - four for $1.99 + tax).
